Default Dancing Workout
There is a workout we have here in Spain that is called BATUKA. There are like 5 different DVDs, and its like dancing routine workout. There are several parts in Batuka, starting with warming up and ending with a great cool down. If any of you can try it out, I highly recommend it. I go to the gym like 3 times a week but in summertime I leave the city so I have to go on 3 months without it. I've tried many dancing DVDs to take in my travels, and most seem kinda the same. But this new workout came out and it really is great. I Don't know if it is known in other countries, that's why I decided to put this post. Maybe it could be useful for someone

I love dancing workouts. Thanks. I actually started doing Zumba. It is so fun to do and entertaining. I feel like I'm on a dance floor. The first day I bought it I was out of breath, sweating and couldn't even finish the DVD. Now the DVD ends and I want more. I also recommend this. There actual dance moves so next time you go dancing you can try them. Mostly contains latin moves. There sexy and fun.

oh wow, I went and watched some YouTube Batuka videos, it's looks like such a blast! To me, dancing is more fun than anything so I want to try to find some videos...or maybe just work out with YouTube!
Thanks for the heads up Lexie

I want to learn Bellydancing for an exercise method!!!!

I've seen it done and it's a great workout that strengthens your stomach muscles and helps tone you up under the flab. I do it a little at home but I don't completely know what I'm doing. I think I'll try to find a dvd that teaches it, but I wanna learn authentic bellydancing, not just an exercise version. (The activity is a great workout by itself!)

Anyone tried this or thought of it?

Shei

Hi Shei!
I have taken many classes over the years and have enjoyed most of it. It can be a good workout depending on what you are working on in that particular class.
It is alot of fun and I love how it can make any type of body look beautiful, strong and womanly.
Most every community has at least one teacher in town. Here in Eugene we have several, everything from Tribal to Cabaret to mystical stuff.
I have a couple of the same videos of Vina and Neena, the twin dancers teaching basic moves. I would be happy to give you one of them if you would like to have it.
