I heard on TV that you can simply and effectively brush your teeth with water. Can anyone help me on finding info? I keep coming up with nothing on my end. I currently brush with toothpaste. Looking for a healthier cheaper alternative maybe... |

Fluoride? I've brushed my teeth without toothpste, just for maintenance, and it just doesn't seem as clean. I'm not using baking soda- that shit's gross. |

It acts indirectly by being absorbed into your blood when you drink fluoridated water and then being incorporated into the structure of developing permanent teeth. And it acts directly on the tooth surface, becoming incorporated into the structure. Once your permanent teeth are developed, internal consumption is pointless. It acts on the tooth surface in adults. Mouth absorption was never a mechanism of action for the use of fluoride. And toothpaste manufacturers all state to use a small amount and avoid swallowing it. |
