Default Do you give yourself (non-food) rewards?
I didn't see a thread on this elsewhere... do you reward yourself somehow as you hit mileposts in your weight loss?

I am planning on doing a long-distance hike in the fall. For each 20 pounds lost I'm going to treat myself to a new piece of hiking gear!

I have not yet, but boy am I planning to. I did a little motivational shopping beforing starting this journey soley for that purpose. The first thing I wanted to reward myself with after 20lbs was a rose gold ring I saw at the Michael Kors boutique. I'm planning a shopping spree to Cabazon Outlet Mall. Perhaps a trip to Las Veags.

I do! Every 50 lbs i lose, I treat myself to a new pair of NIke Lunar-lights i think ... haha.
Last major milestone, i realized that I was finally small enough to fit in some compression pants, so that is what i got myself!

Go with the gun! When the Zombies attack you will be able to run fast, then turn and shoot! You can't do that with a tattoo! LOL

Yes, yes, yes! I bought myself a nice new pair of shoes after losing 10 pounds. When I lose 20 I'm going to get my hair done. Eventually, I also want to get a tatoo. I don't want to get it though until I'm at or near my goal weight. I've been thinking of the design for a while now, and I want it to be something that is themed around dedication, hard work, change or inner/outer beauty. Not really sure. I've wanted to get a tat for a while but it has to be meaningful.

At 275, I am going to dye my hair back to a lovely auburn color. As I shrink from there, I am going to do some shopping in my closet. Then my next goal (225) I am getting a whole salon thing, in fact, I am personally going to bring back feathered hair (a la Farrah Fawcett, Logan's Run time frame). At 200, it's new, new, new, cloths from a store, a real store, that sells clothes for everyone, not just Lane Bryant, The Avenue, or the Fashion Bug, and definately not the men's sweat pant selection of Walmart!

I am looking for a new task chair for my desk and I just realized I don't have to worry about a 250 lb weight limit on chairs anymore. Seriously, that was hampering my efforts to find a task chair before. I'm going to go buy one tomorrow!

Some of you have bravely faced challenges that I have not had to deal with; I can't even IMAGINE how liberating and free it must feel to be able to do things that people of a normal weight never have a second thought about. I never would have thought about limits on an office chair - and how daggone cool is THAT to get a new one just because you can get anything you want!

My sister is heavier than I am, and she says sometimes that buying clothes is a wretched experience. She does most of her shopping online, so that she can try things on and sent them back if they don't work, without having to face a salesperson.

(I am going to tell her about this, if I make it through, say, June, and have stabilized and maintained well. I think that she and my BIL would both do really well on this diet, and they would have each other for support - and me!)
