Yes, keep us updated. I don't know if it's even available in my area. I'm looking at going to Herbal Magic for their weight loss program

He meant it in a loving way. LOL He said that before weight watchers didnt work for me, so I might as well put money into something that works. LOL So I am gonna try it. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/smile.gif

Fvmfrctt 09-15-2011 05:25 PM

i haven't tried it but like everyone else would like to know who it goes for you.

wrbwrbwrb 09-15-2011 05:32 PM

My MIL tried it..

She found it expensive for what you get and you still end up doing prep work as well. She also said the food was ok but some of it was kinda gross.

It didn't work for her.. but then again she is obsessed with 30lbs that she says she has to loose and at her age.. is pretty unlikely for her to be able to.

Good luck V.. I hope it works for you sweetie.

Costco sells the kinda gift card thing that you call with and they mail all the stuff to you. for Nutrisystem.

As for Herbal Magic... I have hard more bad things about that than I can count.. Granted it does work for some people but it's also very expensive.

cigattIcTot 09-15-2011 05:35 PM

The closest Costco is 4 hours away.http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...milies/yuk.gif

I really haven't heard much about HM...a friend's sister was on their program a few years ago and lost close to 100 lbs. and kept 90% of it off. Like you said, the only thing I heard was that it was expensive...so I'm hesitant. I might go after work for their free consultation.

Valdoyes 09-15-2011 05:40 PM

It doesn't work for everyone, as V said herself, but I've heard so much good about Weight Watchers. They key is treating calories like money in a bank, with an allowance, and that program is all about spending calorie points that way. I never liked programs, just meal planning help, but if I had the money I'd do it.

You can also find out the info on them online and call them they will do it that way too..

As for HM.. my mother in law tried it too.. in the search to loose that 30lbs she can't...

It cost her over 1000 to start and then about 70 or so every two weeks for the supplements and such. she stayed on it for 6mths and lost 12lbs. that as soon as she stopped gained right back. The more weight you have to loose the more expensive the initial cost as well.

WW works well and it the only one Doctors up here will endorse.

OWDavid 09-15-2011 05:43 PM

Yes, this is how I lost over 40lbs. It does get expensive though because like someone mentioned, you still have to buy all your vegetables to supplement. To be honest and to be the same kind of plan you just need to eat 5 250-300 calorie meals a day. You can vary this based on after seeing how your body handles the less calorie intake, but never go below 1200 calories in a day. If you exercise on top of this, add another 300 calories because your body needs fuel or will start to eat your muscles.

Good luck! I want naked before and after photos to verify http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ilies/wink.gif

$1000 to start?????

No way, I'm not that foolish.

She paid upfront for her the time they said it would take her to loose the weight she wanted to loose.

And LA Weightloss runs on the same system and it will cost 50 bucks a week for their bars...

WW is the cheapest one and it works for most people. Not all but most. And once you learn the system you can do it with a friend and they can hold you accountable instead of going to meetings if the money factor is the problem.

Also in the end it's a lifestyle change not dieting that works.

I know weight watchers works- I had a hard time following it because I dont have time to prepare my food when I work. with nutrisystem, atleast the meal will be packaged and I have no excuse not to take it to work with me. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ilies/wink.gif If it doesnt work, then it doesnt work. Ill try it for a month and see what happens. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/smile.gif
