I am SOOO pissed off! Ok, So yall know that I went to the ER Tuesday morning. I was having contractions from a bad UTI.. They checked the baby and he was fine. They instructed me to be on Bed rest and gave me meds. That same day my doc office calls me to confirm my appt for today. I specifically ask her if I am seeing a doc because I knew I was only suppose to be getting blood work. The stupid nurse tells me that I am on the docs schedule to see. So I said ok.thanks. Fast forward to today... Ive been on bed rest and am STILL having pains (which is know i will until the infection is completely gone) .. I go in there and guess what?? I am NOT on the doctors schedule!! So I tell the nurse that I just need to find out if I am going to be on bed rest for the rest of the weekend or if I am good. She says that she will just have me see the oncall doc after i have my blood work done. After 3 sticks from the needle, the chick FINALLY gets my blood!!! And I go in the room to have my vitals checked. My BP is HIGH and my babys heart rate was also alittle high... So I start freaking out somewhat. The doc comes in.. rolls her eyes at me.. acts like Im an inconvenience to her.. And tells me that My BP is prob high because ive been worried.. UM no. I actually wasnt worried until AFTER I saw my baby's heart rate! She then asks ME what I want to do.. if I want to stay home or go back to work.. UMM thats her job! She proceeds to tell me to take it easy still and not to do too much.. but that if I want to that I can go back to work.. Um.. thats contradicting to me.. I ask her about my BP being high again and she says that they wont worry about it until its high more than this time.. really? Im a high risk pregnancy and you arent worried?? I am so fed up right now! I dont know what I should do!! I dont want to ever see that doc again. Shes not my doctor anyways, but there is a CHANCE that she could deliver the baby..

Oh wow Veronica. That was very unprofessional of her and the office itself. If there's a chance that she might deliver your baby I wouldn't want to get on her bad side. I know that sucks but the only alternative you have is changing doctors. If I was treated that way when I was a high risk pregnancy I would have have lodged a formal complaint and found a new doctor. But that's just me...
Just try to relax and take it easy because if you stay wound up about this it's not good for the baby or for yourself. Try to relax and take some deep breathes and look at all the good that you have going on and try not to focus on the bad. You will feel a lot better and maybe the baby will too. I believe that they can sense your emotions even at such a young stage in life... |

Since Peter is not here I shall substitute for him.
Hope he does not mind Tell the Bitch to Cunt off !! ![]() Then take some pics of your boobs. It won't help you but for the rest of us here it would be soothing and that can't help but rub off on ya. ![]() Then relax and take a long weekend. The more you think about this the more it will stress ya. That is all |

When you schedule appts, tell them that under no circumstances are you to be booked under that doctor. Definitely tell your regular doctor about how you were treated - and take it easy for a little while longer - just to be safe. ![]() So unprofessional of her! Definitely report her! I'd complain about the nurse who said you'd be seeing a doctor. ![]() |

Wow V I'm really sorry to hear that, that lady was a complete bitch.
![]() I would refuse to see her again, and if there's another doctor mix up I would walk right out and go to the ER instead. I know that seems drastic, but if I felt something was wrong with my baby, and I was high risk and no one would help- I'd raise my middle finger and walk right into the hospital. I think you should definitely stay on the bed rest. I've never been pregnant but I'd read on how a little bed rest can do amazing things, and there's no chance of making things worse that way. |

I agree w/ what a lot of people are saying. I think the best course of action is to speak to your doctor the next time you're in there and tell them that you didn't feel like the chick you saw today was concerned about any of the problems you were having and that she did nothing to assure you that you shouldn't be concerned, either.
I had a bad experience w/ a nurse practitioner the first time I went to a gyno for a lump in my breast. She felt it, laughed at me, and said "that little thing???" I never went back to that office again, but I regret not reporting it to someone b/c it really pissed me off, especially considering that doctors have told us for YEARS to be super-vigilant about our breast's health!!! |

V did you ask the doctor for a letter stating her "opinion" about your condition ?
I would stay very calm and ask for documentation for Hummm "work purposes".. But that is just me.. When my wife ( now ex ) had a bitch for a doctor and had to have delivery of our son, we documented everything.. Even if in Canada it is much harder to sue for malpractice, doctors know that courts take doctors letters and documentation in much more consideration than anything else. Having dealt with health issues for over 28 years, personally myself, I have learned a few tricks that can quickly lower the ego of any doctor to a normal human being.. But above all, do not stress yourself out over this.. It is NOT worth your baby and your own health.. Find a quick alternative solution ( Another doctor or clinic ) to go too.. |
