GOOD LUCK!!!

Set a reasonable time frame for your goal...only 4 months until May MIGHT be a little ambitious to get to goal, but when you lose 20-25 you are going to feel SO good and look SO good, that would be a tremendous accomplishment in that short time! Could you be happy to achieve that?

It took me 108 days for 25 pounds but the change was truly motivating! So do NOT be too hard on yourself if after the first couple of weeks the fast weight loss slows down...your inches WILL shrink!!

So glad you are here, and you are starting out JUST RIGHT, groceries for your plan and sounds like a supportive hubby...you have all the right attitudes to be a great success!

My best to you!

Whoa... THAT doesn't exactly make anyone feel warm and fuzzy about helping now, does it?

There aren't a lot of active members here right now (as in THIS WEEK). But all you need to do is READ THE FORUM to see that there are caring people here. Your post is awful... and uncalled for... and immature.

sigh, maheen, maheen....naughty naughty.....

meanwhile, there are plenty of people to help... one of the things aobut helping though, is that when someone hasn't read the book (which i think you haven't) - those helpful posts take a loong time to type. not all of us have that time to tell you the entire program, which you would learn if you'd just read the book. you have been told to read the information here, from which you would have learned, had you read it, that the above menu is not enough food, not enough veggies, and not enough fats...oh, and probably not enough protein either. generally, yes, that is the right way to do induction, but you can and should be eating lots more, at least for now. also make sure to get half you body weight in ounces of water - so 170 pounds divided by 2 is 85 oz of water a day.

there, that's from me - but an apology would probably encourage others to help as well - oh, and a better attitude would be nicer....

well, it's easy to be rude on a forum, but you need to remember that we are actually people..

anyway regarding hating yourself...you need to wrok this out for yourself. clinging on to us as your last hope is nonsense. this way of life is actually easy, and you can do it - just need to learn it, and keep at it. as for your self-hatred, we can;'t help with that, except i would say look to the Lord for that sort of help, but hating yourself won't help with anything...

gotta go - that was disjointed i know, but it's been a hard day...

One day at a time, Maheen...look for the small successes, as this process takes time.

My best...

How is it going, Maheen?

I have found that I was unable to lose weight until I was happy with who I was as a person, even while obese.

God loves you even if you feel like a failure. He will never turn against you. His measurement of your worth is your heart, not your body weight.

Once you realize this in the depths of your heart, you can hold your head high even while weighing more than you should. And it will give you the strength to tackle it.

Maheen...
Just a quick thought...you mentioned a family wedding coming up in May
and wanting to lose weight before then...IF it's a dress size that's your goal, then you need to be aware than on this WOE...sometimes you lose inches without necessarily losing all that many pounds...
I, for one, have lost only 39 pounds...so far.....BUT....have gone from
2x pants to size mediums....that's a loss of THREE sizes in just four short months...
Taking your measurements when you're first starting out, is as important as weighing ....especially since there are weeks where the actual pound losses are either minimal or non-existant...but the tape measure shows a loss...
