I've been running on a treadmill for 4 1/2 years and I can't tell you how bored I was getting. I used the elliptical for the first time this morning and WOW! It seems to burn calories more efficiently than running.
Does anyone else here use one? This is a Nordic Track that works the arms too. Any suggestions or foibles I should watch for? |

You can do them backwards too. I usually do ten minutes forward, ten back, ten forward... And sometimes I go up on my toes instead of flat footed and you can *really* feel it in your calves. ![]() I had to move some stuff around to get it where it is, but it helps that the wheel is in the front. The machines with the wheel in the back would have been too big to deal with. my wife and I have a treadmill and elliptical in the basement....I am taking the dogs on their "hike" (two or four milers depending on our collective mood) until 1st snow then we use the basement I think having the choice or using in combination will help get me. I like Kimmy's ideas too! ![]() |
