I will add it to my calendar.. I usually weigh myself on Mondays so I purposely don't screw up on the weekends, but I will change it to Thursdays

It really is a case of iput and output, i take in 3000 calories a day and still maintain a skinny 32inch wiast!

Being sensible with food is a big must, and hard work, dedication, lots of being sick and aching muscles is required. Its a big life styke change, cope with it and reap the rewards.

Simple things like switching white bread for granery bread, white pasta for brown pasta and the same for rice, white to brown, less carbonated drinks (ecspecially bottled cider) will all significatly bring down stomach size and bloating.

And remeber when exercising, you cannot spot reduce fat its impossible, the same as doing 1000 sit ups a day wont shrink stomach size just build the muscle underneath it, the same as you cant tone one half of the body and not the other as your body will naturally want to balence itself out

Just one input hope its kinda helpful

EDIT: and BMI is a load of ball, according to that im very overweight and trust there is hardly an ounce on me that neednt be there

I agree on the BMI

It is bull shit

It does not take into account the type of body one has.

What I will never understand is womens weights. My daughter is probably 5'3" and when in soccer shape she had no fat at all. The is small breasted yet weighed 120 lbs. I know muscle weighs more than fat. Which is the reason when you start lifting weights you may gain before losing. Anyway how can some of these models that are 5'6" with DD's weight 10 lbs less than my daughter??

I think weight training does a lot to burn calories. I will never get to my mid 20's weight. I tried back around 10 years ago. I was working out in the gym 2 hours a day 5 days a week and then walking briskly on the treatment for over 30 miles a week and still was 15 lbs. from my younger weight. That is the problem from working manual labor and going to a desk job I am afraid

BMI is a general number. And I doubt most people go in for the pinch of immersion test for bf % so it is a good rule of thumb nothing else.

I'm one of those people. I have a very thin bone structure, which helps with the weight, and a screwy metabolism. For some people, it just kinda happens.

My mom recently got the book Younger (Thinner) You by Eric R. Braverman, M.D. It's not a diet but a way of changing the way you eat based on brain chemistry. You cut out all "white" food (white bread, potatoes, pastas and such), most sweeteners, and add lots of spices and foods that deal with the brain chemicals that you lack (there's a survey type thing that helps you figure out what you need more of). Her doctor recommended it to her so we're all going to try it. I'm definitely not looking to loose any weight but I know I need to start taking better care of myself. We'll see how this works.

I have a very thick bone structure. I have won a lot of times at the amusement parks where they guess your weight. I am always heavier than what they guess. My wife says I'm dense. I hope she means in a good way.

i have been told that i am "big boned" before. i know that according to the BMI, the weight that i am supposed to be for my height would make me look almost anxoeric. i just want to look better and feel better for me.

Sorry... Reminds me of a joke.

This couple goes on a date to the carnival. So the guy asks her what she wants to do. She says she wants to get weighed. So he takes her over to the weight guesser. The guesser gets her weight wrong and she wins a prize. So he asks her "What do you want to do now?" She again says "I want to get weighed" He was trying to please her so reluctantly he takes her back to the weight guesser. Of course he guesses correctly. So once again trying to find something else to do so he asks her again and she again says that she wants to get weighed. So he has had enough and he takes her home. She walks into the house and her roommate asks "How was your date." and she says "Wousey!"
