Default Best Diet Ever!!! (Or, getting sick has its upside!)
Soleil and I have been sick as for the last couple of weeks. Sick as, I say. Meanwhile, I have lost 6.8kg in the last couple of weeks! OH YEAH! That's like 15 lbs. I have officially surpassed my goal weight! WHEE!!!!

I knew being sick wasn't all bad

Losing weight via being sick is a side benefit.... although not a healthy one.

I do hope you two feel better soon.

Thanks! We finally feel almost human these days. I haven't been to work in almost two weeks though. We've been slovenly pigs for weeks now, lazing around on the lounges and watching tv and not doing much else. (Well, I did more than that...lots and lots of ummm "soiled" laundry for me to do!) There's light at the end of the tunnel though!

Yeah, we did! Even though she was barftastic whenever I wasn't (and vice versa), we got a lot of quality snuggling time in.

Sounds like you may have had a partial recovery and then gave it back to each other. Glad things are on the mend although typically a quick weight loss does not sustain. Once the fluids are restored much of the weight is re gained.

Being sick was certainly good for me. I had a bad flu some years back. My ciggerettes and food had no taste. I stopped short the smoking and never went back and I wowed never to go back again.

That is interesting. How long had you been smoking?

For abt 5 years and I tried to quit 3 times earlier but unsuccessful but the flu was real bad and I thought that was the best time to quit. I must tell you guys who are trying to quit smoking that it can be done with disciplene and determination. Govt ruling here all ciggerrte packs must show pics with cancer warning signs etc. Advertising of ciggeretes and liquor is banned here.

There have been restrictions here on booze and cig ads for a while. I think for some stupid reason that beer ads were allowed which makes no sense.

glad it worked for you.

My mother smoked for probably 30 years and quit. She did that in her 60's.

Sometimes a trigger can do that but when it comes to addiction there are no rules. You never know if what will work for one will work for another

I for one believe nothing is impossible. If it worked for me, it is still workable for others and just don't wait for doctor's orders to quit. It takes 10 years to clean your lungs after quitting

It was pretty lax! We lazed around in the morning and then my sister came over for lunch. After that we pretty well did nothing. I did laundry (surprise, surprise) and Soleil caught up on some school work that she had missed. The glamour lives we lead!

Dana -- what? Throwing up together or losing weight?

Agreed on the first, disagreed on the second!
