Trina, my jaw locks and clicks all the time.

When I got the dentist to get a cleaning or anything done my jaw locks open.. he has to pop it back into place.

I also have a habit of clenching my teeth and grinding them while I sleep. For this I was given what they call a dental splint. It's basically just a mouth guard that keeps my back teeth from touching each other.

My dentist diagnosed me with TMJ all caused by the car accident I was in 6 years ago.

I wish you luck and have you tired putting a cold cloth on your cheek to see it it will ease the pain.

*hugs* sweetie. I know what you are going through.

uits happened to me a few times over a few years now. It all started after I got my braces off and the orthodontist said it was because of the strain put on my jaw bones.

I also get these pops, kind of like when you crack your knuckles.
