Default Anyone know about Walden Farms? Help please!!!
What do people know about this Walden Farms stuff?

I ordered and got last night the Peanut Butter an the Blueberry Jam.

I'm a bit freaked out because they're actually good,,... but they are basically zero on everything. I don't really trust it, lol. The blueberry jelly tastes way too good to be 0 calories and everything, and the peanut butter claims to be zero everything for two TBSP but it has corn starch about halfway through the ingredients list.

I dunno, I'm seriously considering getting some more of their stuff, like some more jellies, another jar of peanut butter, and the dips, like marshmallow, caramel, and chocolate. I can use em in some low carb cookin and make some interesting things, if these guys aren't just flat out lying.

Are they reputable at all?

Also... what in gods name is this?

I have some Walden Farms bbq sauce that's not bad. KC Masterpiece has a "low calorie Classic Blend" I like much better though. 2 carbs for 2 tablespoons, 0 sugar carbs.

I've seen those noodles advertised on alot of low carb sites. Anybody tried them? I'm a texture person...I'm curious if they're slimy or anything?

P.S. If you go to Amazon.com, you can do a search and read reviews on various items from people who have tried them.

Yeah I dug around for a lot of reviews but most of the things I want from Walden don't really have the reviews, and the noodles especially don't seem to have any reviews.

I can pretty much eat anything. As long as its something new, I can eat it. Except mushrooms. Mushrooms suck.

Not into the fungii either. I'm not interested in eating anything related to something I could grow in my shower if I didn't clean it.

I've had Shirataki noodles before... bought them at my local HFS. They were the nastiest thing ever. You have to rinse rinse rinse them... and then rinse them some more. It's to rinse the FLAVOR away, if that gives you any idea. I also did NOT like the texture... this is gross, but a good description would be boiled earthworms. As you can see... ick is my response. LOL

I've had the Walden Farms salad dressing... it wasn't anything special. I'd rather make my own from real ingredients. If the only thing you're concerned about is the calorie and carb count, these products (can't really call them FOOD) would be a choice. Me, I want to eat REAL foods... not frankenfoods. What's in the peanut spread, anyway?? Did you notice the label? It's peanut flavored spread. It's NOT peanut butter. It concerns me that their website does not list ingredients OR nutrition info on any of their products. Buyer beware!

Oh i dug up the ingredients so I know whats in them.... they're definitely frankenfoods but sometimes I like to have some short cuts.

I do a lot of cooking but I like to use my spare time that I have for cooking to preparing my real dinner dishes.

Things like the jelly and such are not things I want to be spending an hour or so prepping up, and I'm not afraid of frankenfoods so much.

I've been trying to avoid what Tril calls "frankenfoods" because I want to develop habits that will keep me slim for the rest of my life. It's the processed foods that seem to be my downfall.

If I start eating the fake foods, it will just keep me craving the real versions. It's better for me to make it a habit to eat the real thing in appropriate quantities. That's why I don't use ketchup anymore, even though sugar-free ketchup is available. I used to put ketchup on nearly everything, including scrambled eggs. That was a tough habit to break. I do eat sugar-free jello, but I have never had a problem with overeating real jello.

Hi

I am trying to make my own food. For example I am making my own ketchup , mayo ,fish pate... and lots of food you can find in stores.

I am used to the taste, it is not the same like already prepared food , but I now what ingredients are in my products.
I thing that is the middle way considering eating habits.
