Multiple Kidney stones. Its worse than child birth. Morphine didn't take the pain away. Unfortunately... I'm stuck with them for the rest of my life because its hereditary. Yay for me.

seriously tho.. i got a blocked saliva gland.. and the left side of my face swelled right up n all the swelling was pushing on my ear drum and it felt like my face was gonna burst.. it was pretty bad.. was told by doc to eat lemons to try flush out the blockage.. so when i did my mouth produced more saliva wich then added to the swelling *cringes thinking about it*
My husband had that one time... its CRAZY!

I slipped down a few stairs onto a concrete floor twisting my ankle while holding a 50 lb metal phone system cabinet fully loaded with sensitive cards.

I twisted my good ankle so bad that now it always hurts along with my bad one.

Other than breaking my pinky and it taking 6 months to heal with no cast, I really don't find myself in a lot of pain.

Most pain:

physically: a kidney infection when i was 21. even the Demerol shot in the butt didn't help...I find it strange that I chose this, too, because I was induced five times unsuccessfully with my son... later was on the op table and could feel them slice me open because the epi didn't work...thank god for the gas though, that knocked me out...after friggin counting to TEN..should have only been able to count to maybe 3 or 4. Yep, me and anesthetics don't usually work at the normal dose... which scares me because what if one day I need surgery and I'm like awake through the entire thing....ouch! took me five years just to get over the c-section op emotional left over trauma... but ya..having my gut sliced open by a sharp blade versus the kidney infection, the kidney infection won. Weird.

emotionally: ...ermmm... lots of stuff I'm not getting into now but maybe one day when I know you better.http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...milies/nod.gif

Nashhlkq 07-29-2008 09:32 AM

my exgirlfriend.

but physically... that's a hard one. i get jacked up all the time... i guess when i was dirtbiking and hit a rock. which propelled me into a tree. then down onto the ground. then my bike landed on top of me. 8 broken bones a cracked chest plate 4 2 degree burns and a mega concussion. when i woke up... i started screaming.

I gotta go with the kidney stones. I've had 3 or 4 of them. If childbirth is worse than that, I'm not having kids. Although, I have been told that it is comparable to childbirth.

One word: EPIDURAL! http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...es/biggrin.gif I refused drugs for my first 2 kids, wanting it to be natural. I got an epidural for the last child. It covered up the pain so much that I asked the 5 people in my room if they would step out so I could use the bedpan..and my son arrived just 5 minutes later. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...milies/eek.gifhttp://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...es/biggrin.gif I kid you not...an epidural pretty much takes away the pain of labor. Once I saw how wonderful it was...I could have kicked myself for all of the pain I went through with my first 2! http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/smile.gif

I dips me lid *dip* females during childbirth must go through the pain barrier. It’s like a watermelon being pushed through the eye of a needle.

carletoxtrs 07-30-2008 03:03 PM

I'd have to say for me it was the damage I did to my shoulder on the baseball field one night in college, and the subsequent operations since.

It still isn't right after all these years, so I suffer.

But that's about it physically.

Emotionally it would have to be my mother dying and missing my children being born and all the neat things since.

But its worth every minute of the pain to have our babies with us afterwards. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/smile.gif
