Oh, okay...that's what I was going for, was the results. I didn't realize you had to do 2 before they gave results. Good luck w/ your 2nd one, then...I know it has to be frustrating for you.

Hope that you get better asap !

Sleeping with a c-pap (continuous positive airway pressure device) will be strange at first. But you'll get used to it. And you will probably be glad you got one. Your sleep will be so much improved and you will feel a lot better because of it.

Sleep apnea isn't all that uncommon. I think I read somewhere that around 1 in 15 has it.

I'm not a doctor, but I play one on the interweb.

How's it going Haus?

BarBoss 01-08-2008 06:54 AM

its going

I've had a Cpap machine for nearly 10 years now & I gotta tell you it is a better invention than sliced bread. You will sleep really well, no snoring, no snorting & when you wake you will feel like you had a good nights sleep.

The best part is that during the day you will not feel as drowsy & will not fall asleep as easily in meetings or while waiting for the lights to change.

I have sleep apnea & was starving my brain of oxygen while sleeping - it has definitely damaged my short term memory.

sleep study

well i got my sleep study tonight. incase you all dont remember. i stop breathing in the middle of the night at times and snore really loud. so i went to my consultation the other day and on the severness level i scored a 22 out of 24. so thats not good.

so i got to go in tonight at around 9pm and will get out at about 6am tomoroow morninjg

damn man, glad you're getting it taken care of.

I've been thinking about doing a sleep study consultation myself. I think I tend to roll over a lot which causes me to get less than good in quality of sleep.

Roamsaffots 06-26-2008 11:49 PM

If your rating is that bad, you're gonna end up having to get a C-pac machine .. I'm pretty certain of it.

My Dad sleeps with the machine and he sleeps really well now.

Let us know how it goes Haus. I'm glad you are getting the care you need.

GOod luck with that, not a time to get insomnia http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/smile.gif

Tusethede 06-27-2008 12:10 AM

EESH I hope youre not expecting to get good sleep man they are going to load you up with little sticky wires on your head and chest and give you this little box you hang off your neck.. its a real bitch dude and just in case I didnt mention it: you will not get comfortable sleep.

Unoloknovagog 06-27-2008 12:59 AM

Wow...good luck w/ the sleep test, Haus. C-pap isn't what you're hoping for, I'm sure, but if it helps it will be worth it. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...ilies/wink.gif

Again, good luck!!!
