Digestion Issue

So for quite some time I have been on a mostly fruits, veggies and such diet... and havent really had the want for red meat. I was never a big red meat eater to begin with, but I would have an occassional steak or burger... So anyways, I had a salad at dinner tonight that had pieces of steak on it...

NEVER felt so horrible!!!!!!!!!http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...illy_nilly.gif the PAIIIIIIIIIIN... I finally ended up vomitting it up http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...milies/yuk.gif

So, you think thats my body's way of saying not eat meat... or you think it was food poisoning??

uhh,, there was steak in your salad? lol Ive never heard of that (but it could be a northern thing). lol

If your vomiting, I would say food poisoning

It could be that it just didn't sit well...

I wouldn't equate it to meat from one experience... http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/dunno.gif

Probably were you have "conditioned" your body to not have meat and your mindset of not eating meat.

But then again im guessinghttp://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/dunno.gif

How about chicken in your salad??? Do you backward southerners do that? http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...smilies/24.gif

Well.. my mom (who was with me) said that red meat is really hard on your stomach to digest..takes alot to break it down and whatnot... and after awhile of not eating it your body doesnt process it so well... I dunno. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/dunno.gif

Could have been food poisoning. but thats usually more than a one day ordeal. I actually have had it multiple times. Once from a salad I had in a little resturaunt on Pismo beach in CA. I'll NEVER NEVER forget that..... NEVER.

if there was mayonnaise on the salad that may well be food poisoning as its the dressing which can cause that,
however ,if you have been on a mostly vegetarian diet for some time ,it is very difficult to suddenly digest red meat easily
