Default i'm trying to lose wieght
I am starting to workout at the gym and I want to lose wieght. when I went to my doctor and he told me that I was 242. I started to feel really down about myself, so I talk to my husband and decide to join a gym he wants to go to the YMCA and I would like to go to golds Gym I guees it does not matter as long as I can workout. I went to gold's last night and started and when I weight myself there I was at 214 so that show me that I can do this and, I have A friend that is going with me which seem to help so I have sat my goal at well I would like to be a size 12 and wieght between 145 and 135. give or take.

so lets go workout.

I plan to join a gym too, as soon as my taxes get back. I just had a baby last april, and though I lost weight while pregnant, i have gained weight since.

I think its a good idea to have your husband join too, makes for a good support team. Im gonna need a partner too. What I need more though is healthier diet. I find myself eating junk food more and more, because i have less time to make healthier things.

This might be tough.

Good luck with everything. Just make sure you are losing weight for you. Stick to it and you will be rewarded.

I need to lose weight too.

I refuse to take up any diet - they are so wrong, as we need a bit of everything.

I asked my man to go to the gym with me as I am not disciplined enough to go on my own, but he just said no way basically. None of my friends need to go to the gym, lucky for them, except one of them, but she's as bad as me!

Good luck at your weight loss.

I'm the friend that's joining with her!! I started at a size 9 4 years ago, then I had ovarian cancer and I've spent the last 2 years on steroids, so I've gained about 98 lbs. It's been very disheartening to see myself go from a size 9 to a size 16/18. It really has bothered me but there was nothing I could do, the meds I was on were causing me to gain so much weight. But I've been off for about 7 months now and the doctor says it's safe for me to start a work-out regimine. Hopefully I will be back to my normal size by August or so. I still have to take weekly hormone injections and I take insulin pills 3 times a day to regulate my hormones. That combined with working out will help me to drop the weight pretty fast. Wish me luck!

Good luck with your weight loss. It's great that you have a friend going along to the gym with you, a gym buddy can be a great motivator;giving support and making the whole gym experience fun. Remember to set small goals...work towards weight in 10 pound lots, you'll find it is easier to stay focused and motivated when the goal is much eaiser to attain.

Thanks for all the great words of wisdom and couragement it means a alot to me that people that don't really know believe in me and what I'm doing. I went to both gyms and I think that we are going to join the Y. I went to my doctor and he gave me the go ahead to do as much as I need too. To get back in to shape and now my husband is going to be right there with me and hopeful friend too. we will see. she going through some hard time and so money is a bit tight I wish her well and hope that every thing turns out for the best and I wish there was something morer I could do but now all I can do is give her love and support. And also work on myself at the same time.

Dont give up...it takes time and gets frustrating. Believe in yourself and it will work. At my heaviest i was a size 18 pushing a 20. I blamed it on everything. But with alot of hard work and adjustments I got down to a size 7. Good luck we know you can do it

I have this problem where even if I play with 2kg weights (for crying out loud that's nothing), I gain muscle, I build like a guy... drives me insane cause when I work out, yes, I lose fat, but I gain muscle, so when I weight myself I just want to cry....
