I'm sorry if this has been asked many times before but I can't find my answer. I am doing 40 day subQ injections 150iu. I read P & I but I'm not sure if on a 40 day round you skip or not. I know some people can skip injections once a week but others do not. My question is, if you skip once a week do you still take 40 days of injections or just do the 43 days of VLCD? Also, I was told you skip once weekly AFTER at least 23 days of injections.Any advice is greatly appreciated!

WOW There is certainly a great deal of misinformation and assumptions about the HCG diet! May I ask exactly WHERE in Dr. Simeons protocol does it allow for going 6 extra days? He states that one day per week can be skipped on the "40 day" protocol to help with immunity.
NOWHERE IN POUNDS AND INCHES BOOK DOES THE DOCTOR ALLOW FOR A "46 DAY" PROTOCOL. It is a 40 day protocol - period- (with 3 more days of 500 calories sans injections) = 43 days total. The days skipped should not be creatively ADDED to create a new 46 day protocol. Dr. S is simply allowing for a MINUS factor of those days five days of injections so its effectively 35 INJECTION days + 8 non injection & 500 calorie days = 43 days total. Unless of course you desire to make NEW RULES and tailor Dr. Simeons requirements - EXTENDING his original 40 day protocol using those no injection days. |

I disagree, shervision. Beth_M knows her stuff.
Dr Simeons clearly said that the hormone can effectively be injected for 40 days without immunity issues, so what would the point of those 'skip' days be, if not to add additional VLCD to a round? The number, '40' has to do with the maximum number of injections you can do. Whether you do them in 40 days, or 46 days, is entirely up to you. I am finishing up my 2nd round, & I did 'skip days' this time. I didn't lose a single ounce more than when I did the injections consecutively in R1. Until I have as much experience with doing the protocol as Beth_M, I will defer to her. Also, shervision, I would advise being very, very careful before accusing anyone, especially a moderator of spreading misinformation. |
