Default Breaking the Plateau
Hey everyone,

I'm new! Seems like a great community here, and excited to get to know you all/learn from all of you

I'm 22. 5"5. And currently sitting at 130 pounds.

My goal is ultimately to get to about 115-120 pounds.

I started my diet at the beginning of July, and at that point I was 147.

So I've been really successful, and I've been really happy with my success, but in the past week and a half I've seen NO movement on the scale, and I know it hasn't been that long, and I know I can't expect the rapid weight loss to continue because I am not very overweight, but even seeing a pound or two drop in the past two weeks would have made me excited.

As for my diet plan... I've been counting calories and usually am sitting at 900-1000 calories a day (I try to zig zag). I know people tell you not to go under 1,200 but I eat every few hours, I'm not hungry, and I've been happy and energetic and been able to exercise for at least 30 minutes a day. As for what I'm eating, I'm a vegetarian, but I still manage to get protein at every meal. I've been eating greek yogurt, all bran cereal, eggs and eggs whites, salads, veggies, fruits, pickles, avocado, chickpeas, lots of beans, edameme, oatmeal.

My exercise regime.. I walk for about 45minutes-1hour every day. I've been mixing up my routine and jumping rope about once a week and kayaking and playing tennis about once a week also. I also work as a waitress so I'm basically on my feet walking a lot of the day. About 3 times a week i'll do strength training for about 25 minutes with weights.

So my question is, have I likely hit a plateau? and how do I break it? I've tried mixing up my workout routine and zig zagging calories, but I'm not seeming to have much success. Am I not getting enough calories? Should I up my calories by 200 ish to see results?

Any and all advice would be appreciated!

Thank you,

Ali
