Default High Activity Level
My brother wants to get started on an hcg drops plan, as he wants to lose 30 lbs. before a hunting excursion. He is in the meantime training for his trip with intensive hiking. Is it possible for him to use the drops program by altering the protocol with increased calorie levels and still be successful. Possibly increasing the portion of drops he takes while bumping up the calories from 500 to 1000 or 1200? Any suggestions would be helpful.

If the training is something he has been doing for a while he should be fine to continue it as his body is used to it.

Some people with extremely active lifestyles find they do better with extra protein. I would not increase daily caloric intake by much more than 100 cals or so on days he is most active. I also would not increase drops at all. The proper dose is one that abates hunger.

Thank you Beth, I trust your expertise! He and his wife are excited to get on plan within the next week, and in live close to your area, Fall City. I'll be excited to share your suggestion - as they are camping (excellent weather this week!), and cannot access their internet.
