Gained 8 pounds during loading, getting nervous in general

Hi everyone. I am new to the forum, I just have some questions and concerns.

I'm a 21 year old, and since the age of 11-12 have always been on the chubby side. I am 6' weighing in at 226 lbs. Needless to say, I was very excited to hear about HCG and its results. So I started a couple of days ago.

My worry: I have gained 8 pounds during the 2 loading days http://hcgdietinfo.com/hcgdietforums...lies/frown.png. Its making me nervous, the gain and HCG in general. I mean, I give myself the injection, see the solution enter my body, but I still doubt it will work, despite all the evidence. Its like I'm expecting failure. Anyone else feel this way at first? I mean, I wish the medical community would study this more. I.e. if HCG resets your hypothalamus how does it cross the blood-brain barrier? Where are the HCG receptors in the hypothalamus and how do they interact with leptin and insulin receptors in the same region? I guess I'm just someone that needs to know the full details. Idk, I am just terrified by the thought that after a few VLCDs I wont lose weight and will only have a +8 gain to show for myself.

Also, I've read here about food sensitiveness. How do you know you have them? I feel like I must, I gained 8 pounds.

Thanks!

Welcome aboard. There are tons of people here who are proof that it can work.

I think we all go into it feeling we are the one person who it's not going to work for. Most everyone finds out differently. As a friend of mine used to say "You're not that special" meaning that your results will likely be like most people's

If you've loaded with some good healthy fats you'll be fine and it will drop off in the first couple of days.

Burgherboy, I had the same concerns about the weight gain. I didn't gain as much as you though on the loading days. I started on Memorial Day weekend with the loading. Today is day 12 in R1P2 and I have dropped 25.3 lbs. Simply amazing!!! Follow the protocol and you should be fine and good luck.

While I am here, can anyone point me to a thread with the guidelines for transitioning from P2 to P3 and the best way to increase the foods, etc.??

Thanks
Chief

I gained almost 7 lbs during my load. You're ok there.

Keep a positve mind set, being stressed and negative never helps. Just be strong and focused. Follow the plan. Don't ever get down if you don't lose a pond a day. just keep pushing.

I'll simplify... Life is a self fulfilling prophecy. If you feel you will fail at something... You will fail. If you think this won't work, it wont.

You areeither all in, or all ojt, nowhere in between.

Now, get focused, follow the plan, work hard, and reap the benefits... Or die trying... Never give up.

I hate negativity... And you should too

I too was scared to death, more of the fact that I might not do it right or mess it up somehow, but you will succeed at this and the gain from load in is normal...just remember you can do this and will be able to look back and say I DID IT! good luck!

I gained 7.5 on my load days. I took 7 of it off in the first 3 days. Hoping to lose the rest soon. But hang in there! Its very frustrating to see what the scale says, but this plan works so lets stick with it!

Thanks for all the replies. It makes me feel better. You're all right about negativity; now that I think of it, I feel like I've been on the pessimistic side of things a lot in life. But, I will make this work for me.

I'll definitely be visiting back with an update in a few days.

Thanks!

Those of you who gain so much on your load days, be cautious when getting to maintenance and pay attention to whatever you ate during those two days. You ate something that caused inflammation.

that is true what Grammy said, I gained alot during loading days before too, but this time I am learning from my mistakes. I think processed foods, gluten and sugar are my downfall, and I don't plan to go back to them. also I need to be careful of dairy, esp. full fat, and aged cheeses.

Your a guy (I assume from your name LOL) so you have a huge advantage right there. Most men do great on protocol and drop fast. I'm a girl and I gained 6lbs on load so no worries about your 8lbs.

Loading is an extremely important part of the hCG protocol as it prepares your body for the Very Low Calorie Protocol (VLCP). Also, after two days of stuffing your face with everything you will miss over the 23-40 days most people can't wait to start the VLCP. Without loading people tend to feel hungry for a lot longer and find it harder to stick to the strict protocol and then end up cheating and then blame the hCG.
