I was wondering about the recipe too!
I have no idea what the chocolate coconut mousse is have you tried using the search with in the forum? It's in the upper right corner. I just use coco crack which is coconut oil, cocoa powder & stevia.

Clairbear - It's basically good fats & some people only use coco oil for the entire day like coco crack or macadamia nuts. I have to stay away from to much MCT oils cause I get explosive runs. I am eating avacados, almonds, cream cheese, peanut butter, heavy cream in my coffee & coco crack. 5 to 6 times a day 200 calories each.

I tried searching this and a couple of other forums. I can only find a recipe with heavy cream, which I love, but I'm not sure it's the point of this exercise

I asked on the P3 forum and this is the reply I received:

I made chocolate mousse early in P3 using a recipe found here: Coconut milk (chilled in fridge), scrape off hardened cream on top, use sweetener of choice, unsweetened cocoa, and whipping cream. I had no measurements, just winged that part. Whip until thickened. Anyway, I didn't like the coconut taste so this is what I use now: About 1 cup heavy whipping cream, approximately 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa, sweetener of choice to taste, about 1 cup heavy whipping cream. Then, I add about 1 tablespoon of cream cheese!...I have had this a lot on P3, whenever I get a sweet tooth. It is the best! Sometimes I make a little bit of whip cream to put on top, using a bit of vanilla extract instead of the cocoa and leaving off the cream cheese. Just experiment and find what you like. I use a hand mixer and whip until it is mousse consistency. YUM!!!!

Oh yikes! I will just stick with coco crack... the mousse, which I love normally, sounds disgusting in diet standards!

Thank god I am only doing 2 days of this... I am starting to feel kind of ill from all the fat! It certainly is getting my BM's moving tho!

So, as I near the end of my hCG phase ... I want to try the fat fast. Is it safe to do while not on hCG. I have insulin resistance and read that's the same as metabolic resistance which is in part the type of person the fat fast is for. I'm nervous to gain weight on it though. What are the chances and how many days are recommended? 1-3?

BrodiesMom - I would imaging that it is safe to do while not on HCG because it is actually part of the Adkins Fat Fast. Some people just decided to try it while on HCG as well to see what would happen. Not on HCG I read you can do more days, but not sure how many. On HCG the max is only 3. I am only doing 2 days.

I would suggest that if you are going to do it, try it while on HCG then you know whether or not you will gain & have an easier way of undoing it. Since it is just high fat... you would loose it faster than a normal cheat.

it works but for me, my water weight moved into its place. When I finally came out of the ketosis the water dropped off

Is that good or bad?!
I think there's a chance I could be ok. Maybe this weekend I'll do it. I actually read A LOT today about it AND about doing it with hCG. I'm a teacher so I research everything I'm really tempted to try it before I quit the hCG.
Question? Why do people do so many rounds? Are there people who do A round and are successful? Is it possible to continue to lose after hCG?

I have to say that my last round, the one I was in when I tried the fat fast-among many other rogue things, was a wash. I lost 20+ lbs. but I could not stabilize to save my life, even after eating strict p3 for weeks...weight crept back up. I'm on my 4th round now and I'm being as faithful as possible to the protocol just for stabilization. Just my two cents...

wow i have been here on and off for the last 2 years and have never heard of this, are you doing this in phase 2 or 3? If phase two wouldnt it cause a gain and stall like cheating does? I am 134 my original goal was 135 but decided to go 130 since i had purchased a full round im on day 33 and have apx 10 days left i figured because i had so little left to lose i could have slower loses and i eat more protien throug out the day, this round has been by far the easiest round for me which is why i have stuck it out this far i am very curious about this and wonder if i should do it or not im told i need meat on my body so maybe i need to just stick to the protien meat? I wish i knew about this before and even if i dont do it now i may try that in phase 3 when or if needed....

to add to my last reply, i went back and read all the replies, i think i would get ill doing this from what u all ate, high fat makes me ill because in 2001 i had gastric bypass surgery and so i still have issues if i eat high fat or sugar stuff but here is what im wondering yesturday i ate a 12 oz prime rib i ate it through out the dsy of course and late last night had a double cheese burger protien style not all of it but i gotta say with all that meat i was stuffed well my weight was the same 134 could that be considered a fat day but i just ate to much to lose?

I have done a few fat fasts and they don't really work for me. The most i've lost was .4...doesn't hurt but not the releases I've seen from some on Youtube.
But then again, it may have something to do w/ the fact that i have CO (choco delite/cocoa crack) everyday? who knows......I'll stick to my Fage days and protein days and POP

It sounds scary to me. I can't get past the part where Grammy said that you could just as easily gain on it.

i would imagine that fat fasts reak havoc on stabilization......not worth the risk for me when the proven method of dr simeon is solid.

I'd come across posts about the Fat Fast, and decided what the heck, I'd try it once. I was on it two days, literally stayed exactly the same weight both days, no loss at all. So, decided this CD isn't for me and crossed it off my list. I didn't feel hungry, so the fat is satisfying for sure, but felt totally spacey the entire time - not enjoyable in any regard. Blew my mind that I didn't release ANY weight at all though. On FFF or fff days, I easily lose 2# - 3#, so I'll just stick with them

I made almond butter cream cheese bites, measured 1 oz of macademia nuts per serving, used HWC in coffee, had 15 pepperoni w/1 slice muenster cheese. Kept everything at 200 calories per "meal", upto 1200 calories per day. Drank LOTS of green tea and water, too. Just - zero loss. Oh well...
