Default Surviving TOM
I couldn't find a previous post or much consolidated info about this so here goes a new thread. I'd love to hear about your experience during TOM on HCG in P2 VLCD.

Any tips and tricks on surviving time of month (TOM) and PMS symptoms? Or anything that helped relieve some?

I've always gotten really bad cravings, mood swings, irritability, fatigue, etc. Trying to combat these as they tend to push me towards food!

I just started this past weekend loading so I'm PMSing during my first full week, should find PMS "relief" mid next week around day 12 of injections.

I understand we don't skip injections on TOM anymore so I'm not planning to.

uh, sorry dear, it's just me Have you ever looked into progesterone cream for PMS? I learned about it on a hypothyroid forum last March, and used it before TOM in May. Up to then I had terrible mood swings, irritability, bloating, painful breasts that would balloon like a milk cow's udders (yikes!). Long story short, I did not continue after the next TOM, mostly because I was tinkering with thyroid and adrenal meds at the same time and didn't want to do overkill. I have to say though, the last few pre-TOM periods were a breeze

Here, this website is quite informative re progesterone and its benefits with menopause, PMS, etc. They sell the product but I got mine, a different brand, from iherb.com

aww, I try my best Not sure what the gyno's opinion is about that, they usually like to poison women with medical grade estrogen that tends to make matters worse. This cream is a so-called bio-identical hormone so it's natural. The idea behind is that it balances out a possible estrogen dominance, and too much of the latter is what's supposedly causing these typical PMS symptoms. See, the *proper* way forward is to get a sex hormone panel (estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, SHBG) done to see whether you are estrogen dominant (which I didn't do), interestingly, I recently came across an article that said it's less important how HIGH the estrogen level is but more important how LOW the progesterone level is. Apparently these 2 hormones should be in balance so using the cream would level out the difference. There are several posts on here, search for progesterone (cream)
