Default Random question about loosing fat in stuborn places while on HCG.
Hi Everyone! This is kind of a random question, mostly for those of you who have successfully lost weight on the protocol. I have three kids, and they were all delivered by C-section, for any of you women out there who have had kids this way know that you are usually left with a little "pooch" of fat on your lower abdomen area. I have NEVER been able to get rid of fat in this area, even after being at an ideal weight and fit. I've even worked out with trainers in the past who have all told me that many of their female clients who were in very good physical condition were still left with this area of fat. I'm just curious if any of you had this problem, and if HCG helped to release the fat in that area? My stomach in general is a trouble spot I've always had, so I'm very curious to see how everytihng turns out at the end of my rounds. I was just curious to hear other people's experiences while on the diet and loosing fat in stuborn places.

Yes you will see your stomach flatten considerably. Might not happen in the first week but it will happen by the end. The key is to not go back to carbs or sugars even after P4 or you will see your stomach pooch back up. Even if there is no weight gain, my stomach went back into a pooch. Another thing to consider is that your ab muscles may be perm messed up from carrying your baby in the belly -- c-section has nothing to do with it but it's call Diastisis and can only be fixed surgically. I could do this diet before I did anything surgically. You will see results if you stick to the protocl!

Thanks so much! That makes sense about keeping out a lot of the sugar and starch. I heard the same thing about surgery being the only option for some people to get rid of the excess skin/fat in that area, so I was crossing my fingers that this diet is enough to get rid of it. I'm not too worried about it though. :-)

I haven't lost enough weight to know for sure, but I'm fairly certain nothing short of surgery can be done about that little pooch. I never had it until kids either, even though I was already overweight. I had 3 also but not by c-section, so the surgery is not the cause! Diastasis recti is part of the problem, as the abs cannot tighten the way they need to to support that part of your body. Also loose skin that doesn't tighten back to normal and redistributed fat from pregnancy. My obgyn said that when the uterus gets so huge (especially if one of your babies was oversize), the fat cells from the center part of your abdomen that is taut literally gets squished to wherever it will fit, mostly downward.

I just figure that my body will never look the way that it did before my kids (lets not even talk about my breasts after 38+ months of nursing) but I consider them my "battle scars". Parenting comes with tons of sacrifices, and I would not give up the personal rewards and growth they have brought me for anything.
