Default Anyone lose less than 20 pounds in first round?
I'm on VLCD 22, and a little discouraged that I've barely lost 12 pounds!! I only have about 35 total pounds to lose.... and I have NO problem losing weight with calorie restriction and exercise I'm just lazy LOL and was hoping to "fix" my set weight with this program. I've had one cheat day.... Which I cheated with sugar and extra protein, not bread or anything heavy/sticky... I had a 10 day stall which made me SO frustrated and was only broken by cocoa crack.
What I'm wondering is.... How many of you lost under 20 pounds? Is this common? Not gonna lie, I will be EXTREMELY disappointed and pessimistic for hcg if I don't lose even 20 after 7 weeks. I couldve lost that much doing diet and exercise and still getting to taste what I like!
Of you that didn't at least lose 20.... How was stabilizing and did you do a 2nd round.... Results?

I was in P2 for 6 weeks and lost 23lbs. You body will do what it will do. Have you checked your measurements to see how many inches you have lost?

You have lost 12lbs in 22 days, which is 1/2 pound per day. I would call that great, and that is the norm for most women. I lost at almost the same rate as you.

Hi,

I lost 15 lbs in my round. See my stats down below...

Would I have liked to lose more? Yes. On the other hand, after only three weeks I lost 13" from my body. Won't measure again until after three weeks of P3. I am hoping for more reshaping. I have lost from areas on my body that I consider to be "abnormal" fat (lower stomach and those dreaded hip pads!). That where menopause was settling in on me...

My clothes fit much better and I am wearing items of clothing in smaller sizes. For the rest of the summer I am going to focus on stabilizing. All the wonderful fresh veggies and fruit that are in season. My coworkers have been generous with
fresh tomatoes and cucumbers lately...the flavor is heavenly. So much better than store bought!

Btw, this protocol is what made my weight loss possible. Wasn't able to lose it otherwise.

Dawn

Hardly anyone loses 20 pounds in a short round. That's a pound a day and it's not common. In a short round, the typical is 12-15 pounds, just fyi.

thanks you all! I guess I should re-evaluate my EXPECTATIONS of what this diet should've been for me and just go with the flow and appreciate what I HAVE lost
Today is injection day 26, VLCD 24... and I'm still barely at 12 pounds lost (technically 11.8)... so I'm continuing on to the full 40 day keeping my fingers crossed that my body finally just surrenders LOL and maybe I can pull out 20 pounds.
sigh. It is what it is.

I lost 14.4 pounds and I went 30 days, I also really only had total 25 pounds to lose, so I got most of it off. You have a GREAT LOSS for that many days. 1/2 pound a day is excellent and the norm.. so try not to get discouraged. I went from a size 14 jeans to a size 6.. so what does that tell ya?! =)

Ah ncos don't take this wrong but that is really nice to hear! Lol. I don't feel alone cause that is probably exactly around what I will lose considering I only have 4 days til 30. Did you just decide to stop at 30 cause the loss was so slow? Did you do a full P3? any problems stabilizing?
With such a low loss I'm scared to jump up to all the cals in P3 cause it seems I could gain 12 back with hardly any effort

I am averaging about the same as you, as my loss is slow too. I was told at one point that my loses maybe a little slower than others since I don't have a high number to lose (i want to lose 30-35lbs). Looks like you are doing good!! Keep it up! Good luck with P3..

I lost right around 20 lbs in my first round. I didn't keep the information so I don't have exact numbers, but I averaged just under 1/2 lb a day weight loss. I think I lost 19-21 or something like that on my first round. My goal was to lose 20 lbs each round, but my next two rounds were shorter so I didn't lose quite that much.

Hi there NursesRock...I've been on this diet, following protocol (not going rogue), and have only dropped 9 pounds. My ticker shows 18.8, but that reflects the week that I was doing just the VLCD where I lost 9.8 pounds. I'm taking 3 weeks off and going to do round 2. I had expected closer to a 25 pound loss this round. Losing only 9 is just ridiculous!

I lost 16 round 1 and 11 round 2. So, yeah, I was a slow loser! But I stabilize really well, and am very grateful to have 27 pounds off my body, even if it took me a bit longer than others. I'm close-ish to goal weight so it just comes off slower too for that reason.

Waving hands here...I followed protocol 100% for the 26 day round (includes load days and three days just VLCD) and lost only 10 pounds. This was w/o the bread sticks and fruit as well. I have mixed feelings about the whole thing - could have been the false lure of a pound a day hype but I was disappointed nevertheless. I am toying with another round after P$ but just might skip the hHCG and go back to P# with a protein day once a week. Less stress over what the hormones are doing to me long term and similar results. Every BODY is different hough!

It has taken me 3 long rounds to lose what people normally lose in 2 long rounds. I followed protocol 100% including personal products. I can get discouraged when I compare myself to big losers on this forum, so I regularly remind myself that I wasn't able to lose the weight with my former methods. I was also worried that I wouldn't stabilize well with low losses on minimal calories, but I've stabilized well after each round. The other benefit of hcg is that I lost weight in problem areas like my upper thighs that I wouldn't have tapped into with my former methods. It also helped me personally to have different phases (in other words, an end in sight) rather than being on a the same eating plan for the entire 9 months. I think you've had very good results.

I managed to drop another .6 this morning. Looking forward to officially starting P3 today. But, I'm already counting the days til I can do another P2 round.

May everyone continue to have losses....Don't get discouraged Bebol. At 50, I've found it quite difficult to lose weight, compared to some of the much younger ladies out there. I just sort of take one day at a time, and as my hubby says, at least I'm losing something and not gaining it. Sadly, I agree with him! I just wish it was coming off faster!! But I must say that I've had a better response to using hcg compared to the many other diets I've been on in the past.

I am on day 25 of my round (5 left) and have only lost 15. I doubt I can lose another 5 in 5 days. I have the option to extend my round another 10 days but that would only give me one week of phase 3 before my big camping/canoeing trip in which I know I will be drinking. I really need that extra week to get myself situated. I have most of my camping meals planned around eating well, but I will not skimp on the alcohol 30 days without drinking is long enough

I seem to lose more eating fish than with chicken. The only beef I had was the steak I used attempting to break my stall, which it did very nicely. I have not cheated at all but still stalled most of the second week. The 1.8 pounds I lost was on the last day of the week. Then I discovered light fish thanks to someone on this forum suggesting it.

Thank goodness someone else out there has only lost barely 12 pounds LIKE ME ! It is so frustrating! I also do not have more than another 12-15 pounds to go but I was expecting to lose a lot more especially considering I stopped drinking alcohol, no fats, no breads, no sugars, etc. The only thing I did do --today is day 31--was have a little more soy milk in coffee a few times a day vs. 2 tbl spoons and if I had a late meeting I grabbed granny apple slices till I could get home and eat. I had one cheat--and that wasn't until 2 days ago lemonaide and vodka and a burger--but before that? I did not so much as have a breadstick (wasn't told I could didn't see it on my version of grocery items) Anyway, I have 2 weeks to go. I am definitely hungry--not famished but normal hunger. I think I lose weight by not cooking HCG foods--loved the chili w 4% beef --low fat, etc. but it seems for me, if I eat the food as boring as it is in true form--chciken spinish, etc it seems to work better? I don't know. I just can't believe its been 31 days and its only 12 pounds. Even just the dieting seems odd to not have some "bigger" outcome. Oh--I fibbed. I did a few times have sugarfree/fat free hersheys syrup with fresh strawberries last week I got my monthly and the cravings were harder. I definitely think I stalled. What is cocoa crack? what is a FFF Day? What is a steak day? This stuff scares me to obsess over this diet--which to me, is too much time thi nking about what I can and can not eat. Is anyone else hungry-not starving, bt rationally hungry? It seems like everyone who is on here has an "easy" time with this diet which if diets were easy we would not be at this point, right? Does anyone have any of my experiences here, please tell me. Thanks
