Food @ a theme park??

Hello fellow HGC'ers!!

I am on P2 and I am going to Sea World this weekend and even though I am looking forward to it, I am not looking forward to the eatting part. What do you suggest I eat or take so that I don't starve?? Please help!!

Sunscreen, water, and your pre-made food in a cooler. Eating out on P2 is very hard, I never did it, and I can't imagine Sea World having much for you to choose from. Maybe at one of their sit down restaurants you can order a salad (no croutons, bring your own P2 approved dressing) and add grilled chicken if you dare, make sure you tell them it needs to be grilled dry and w/o any oils, sauces, etc. If they have shrimp cocktail I think 5 is the portion for P2. Just be careful and if you decide to dine there, be picky and tell them exactly what you want, how you want it cooked, most places should be okay with this but you never know since you're not in the kitchen making it. Good luck and have fun! Wish I could be in San Diego http://hcgdietinfo.com/hcgdietforums...lies/smile.png

The salad should be easy, but like you said the cooked food is what I am afraid of. I don't want to kill the mood of the day because of my dieting. hahaha. Having a life outside of this diet is a challenge. Thanks for your suggestions sydnit. I am going to try to not think about food tomorrow and enjoy myself. The weather is beautiful right now http://hcgdietinfo.com/hcgdietforums...lies/smile.png

Sydnit - it's a challenge for sure. I really do think packing a cooler with food ready to go for yourself would be the smartest idea. IF funds allow, obviously you can buy bottled water along the way & not have to tote SO much water - but the food is another entire issue.

I'm on round 2 of the HCG diet, but I can tell you that I didn't eat of for the first 3 weeks at all & then when I did, I got on line & looked at the menu of the place we were going. I knew what they had to offer & I was very mindful to ask for the chicken to be cooked w/out oil, butter, etc - requested only one veggie on my plate - and asked for it to be doubled (grilled tomatoes)! The waitress told me with SO many people's food allergies/issues (like gluten free, lots of allergies) that it's nothing for people to ask for their food to be prepared a specific way. I was very pleased that when my food came I could tell it hadn't been cooked in oil (I actually ask them to put some water on the grill to keep any oils already on there from getting to my chicken breast & they did).

I will say that I ate one more time while on Phase 2 at the same place because I knew they'd do the food upon request. Once I was on Phases 3 & 4, I still watched it, but didn't worry as we add back the fat, etc.

Good luck tomorrow - hang in there....you can do it!

I agree with what others have said, pack your own cooler with your food, heck with the prices of food at Theme Parks, we almost always pack our main lunch meal anyways, as it costs a small fortune to buy drinks and meals inside, and if I were going while on P2 OR P3 I would absolutely have to pack my own food, I wouldn't trust even a 'salad' prepared at a theme park to not have something sabatorish in it, starch, sugar, shaved carrots even which are impossible to pick them all out at time etc.

Yep, I'd be taking my own food for sure, who wants to pay loads of money for a bland basic salad and dry grilled chicken at an over priced theme park anyway http://hcgdietinfo.com/hcgdietforums...ilies/wink.png Enjoy the day.

Your best bet, like everyone says, is to bring your own food. Make some cucumber chips or apple chips and just tote them around as a snack. Pack a salad and your proteins so you can eat it with everyone else-- don't worry about "ruining the mood", you're no more fun when you're eating theme park food and when you're not. Don't put on sunscreen-- there are oils in there that can interfere with your body chemistry while on p2. Dress well, bring shades and a sun hat instead! You're also allowed to use petroleum jelly so use it for dry lips. And like everyone's been saying, drink lots of water! http://hcgdietinfo.com/hcgdietforums...lies/smile.png
