I wondered if it typical to expect to lose on a skipped shot day or not?

Yes, skipping a shot has no effect on weight loss. You'll still have hcg in your system for 72 hours even if you don't inject. You're mostly losing weight from the VLCD, not from the hcg anyway. The hcg just allows your body to access your stored fat, keeps you from being hungry, and resets your hypothalamus.
