Default Men on HCG
So I am doing R2 starting mid july. I have done well stabilizing and want to lose the last 15lbs. My son, 17, wants to do this diet and has 40 lbs to lose. My boyfriend also has talked about joining in and has 40 lbs to lose (at the least).
I am really excited for the whole family to be doing this.
I need any advice I can on how to make this transition not so hard on them. (I do realize they themself have to WANT this for themselves.
Any advice on the entire family doing this or tips on men on HCG? Do they lose faster? Is it harder on them? Are they hungry with only 500 calories? Or is it just like me being on it?
We spoke of a family goal and a little wager. We will postn preload weight and every day weigh and write it down on a chart. Every lb lost there will be a dollar added to the jar titled WINNER. (So if I lose a lb I add the dollar. If you cheat more than once, you are out. Uou lose the money you put in. Then at the end of R2 the person with the greatest loss will collect all the money. I do not think I can lose 30 lbs but heck, I will try. I know my son is excited as this will be his senior year and the money would be awesome.
I just really want my boy to successed as he is really wanted to lose the weight, even talked about doing another round if he can.
So please, I am begging for any tips.

Men lose more/faster! My bf decided to try it after seeing my success, and he lost about 30lbs and then in p4 shrunk a bit more and total of about 36lbs lost for him. I've done two rounds, my losses equal 40lbs. LOL!

He did start it once, and could not do it. Wasted a whole 15days worth of HCG! But I'm glad I gave him a second chance, hes starting another round with me TODAY! He says its pretty easy once you dont care about food like its a hobby anymore. So true!

Great ideas for the whole family thing and the $ LOL That's pretty cool! It's really all in ur head though, gotta be strong. If he wants it enough, he can do it!
Anyone can hehe.

Hey bekki,

I did this diet a year ago with my girlfriend and we both lost a ton of weight in 33 days I lost 27.8 lbs and she lost 15.2

I strongly suggest doing it with your fam, it makes it a lot easier and you can sound off and support each other. Guys do loose faster, and your son won't have a problem loosing the 40lbs, but the most important part of this diet is phase 3. I didn't follow that and gained all my weight back in 6 months, my girlfriend did follow it and is still at her goal weight. I'm starting loading today and tomorrow and will be doing this 28 day round with my mom. I hope to get down to 148 from 168 in 28 days. I wish you guys luck and success, this forum helps me a lot and I will be happy to help you or your fam with any questions you may have

Hi Bekki. My husband did my 1st round with me. He lost 22 lbs in 23 days, and continued to lose 4 more in the weeks after. He works a very physical job, and I sure thought he would be too hungry on it and would cheat, but he surprised me with how well he stuck to it. Of course, he had me to prepare his meals, that makes a difference. But he felt great on the hCG, not hungry, plenty of energy. We were doing real sq injections.
His biggest problem is he's a carb addict, and wouldn't stick with the low carb portion more than 2 weeks. And as a result, he's put about 10 pounds back on. I think that's the area you might want to explore with your son and boyfriend, that the other phases of the protocol need just as strict compliance and committment as the hcg phase.
