P2 Salad Dressing Recipe

I am currently on round 2, P2, Day 11. I made some of the salad dressings that I found on this forum and used them in round 1. This time around I feel like if I never see or taste a dressing with apple cider vinegar or lemon again it will be too soon!http://hcgdietinfo.com/hcgdietforums...milies/eek.png

Does anyone have any ideas? Has anybody used anything successfully that may not be exactly according to protocol? I am really tiring of the vegetable choices and would love some more salad options. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the best advice I can give is to pinch your nose shut and keep eating them the way you have been. I'm with you though... when I couldn't stand the thought of another plain salad (or one with the same spices I'd been using forever...) I switched to cabbage, or made cocktail sauce and had shrimp, or made baked onion soup. That onion soup saved me a few times. I can't remember which thread I found it in, but it was great.

My friend who told me about HCG is just starting her second round and we talked about salads. She likes them plain and can't understand why that makes me gag. I love her, but I sure want to slap her (in the nicest way). Good luck!

My favorite new dressing is mixing mustard, (never liked before HCG)and stevia to taste. It tastes like a honey mustard. I like to chop up celery, apple and chicken then mix in the dressing. One of my favorite meals http://hcgdietinfo.com/hcgdietforums...lies/smile.png Hope this helps!

My favorite dressing is to use the tops of the strawberries you cut up (just clip off the red edges, or you could use some of your allotment of 10) and put them in a blender with ACV and stevia and you have a strawberry vinegarette (without the oil). It keeps for a long time in the fridge. It's really good on a strawberry/spinich salad.

I love this combo as well. SOOOO good.

Also, the Strawberry Vin. recipe is great. I love it with steamed Talapia.

I am really picky about salad dressing, so I started out just using cracked pepper and sea salt. I ended up going to my catalina free (completely off protocol!!) but knew myself and knew I had to do something fast cause I was going to cheat. I've used it the past year with no stalls or gaining.

Well for my birthday back in march my dad's girlfriend made the most AMAZING strawberry vinagrette w/diced up red onion and....I DONT KNOW WHAT ELSE. been begging for the recipe and she pretty much forgot. But I'm thinking the above recipe using Apple Cider Vin, some stevia, muddled up strawberries, maybe a pinch of lemon, salt and pepper would be awesome. It was the red onion that really made that dressing special. I don't even think she used oil, and we weren't dieting at the time. Over spinach, with some fresh apple slices. If anyone knows a good recipe for something like I mentioned let us know!

I make a dressing with a combo of 2 or 3 types of vinegar (such as Apple Cider, Coconut, Red Wine, White Wine or Balsamic Vinegars), water & Berry flavored liquid Stevia. You could add onion or garlic to it too if you like. I usually use a couple tablespoons of each of the vinegars, about a cup of water and at least a whole dropper of Berry Stevia which gives it a strawberry/raspberry flavor.

sounds good but for sure balsalmic vinegar is a p2 no-no due to sugar content.....

Has anyone tried the hcg safe salad dressings from www.hcgperfectportions.com ? I bought their combo pack and am enjoying the variety.

Try using rice wine vinegar; just be sure to check the label that it's the real stuff; there should be NO sugar added in the ingredients. I make a quick dressing using braggs amino acids, a drop or 2 of the rice wine vinegar, some onion powder, garlic powder, pepper and stevia. I will use seeded cucumbers chopped and let them marinate for a little; sometimes I add chicken for a complete meal. It's a very refreshing salad especially with the warm weather we've been having lately. Another one is a spin on the honey mustard idea, but I like to use stone ground dijon (no sugar of course...) and I add pretty much all the same ingredients as the other minus the braggs; that's primarily what I use for my regular salads. I've tried the Walden Farms Ranch, and can't say as I'm impressed; too, I don't think there is one natural ingredient in it, it seems to be all chemicals....I'm trying to get away from the frankin foods, so I try to avoid it...besides, it really doesn't taste all that great lol.
