From P&I

An apple-day begins at lunch and continues until just before lunch of the following day. The patients are given six large apples and are told to eat one whenever they feel the desire though six apples is the maximum allowed. During an apple-day no other food or liquids except plain water are allowed and of water they may only drink just enough to quench an uncomfortable thirst if eating an apple still leaves them thirsty.

Apple Day Clarification Needed

I understand that an apple day is used when a stall of several days is experienced.
6 apples starting lunch on day 1 and ending lunch on day 2
Only drink water to quench thirst

I assume this means I don't eat anything else before I start apples at lunch on day 1.
Do I eat dinner on day 2?
I can't imagine that eating only 3 apples each day for 2 days is survivable without being really hungry.

Thank you!

HRP.. you can eat lunch and dinner on day two.

What if you aren't hungry? I'm doing apple day since no bm for a few days. Its 630 and ive had one apple will eat another with cinnamon in a bit. Is that bad?

ananciguinter 06-20-2012 04:02 PM

cole1234, yes, that is bad. And apple day isn't for constipation. It is used as a psychological tool for long stalls many days. It helps you feel like you are "doing something" to fix a natural stall. If you're constipated, take some magnesium.
