Default Quickly losing motivation...
I'm on week 2 of P2(Day 12) and I've only lost 1.4lbs.. I feel like I'm not going to lose anymore weight, and I still have 11lbs to go to reach a bmi of 20. My goal is to be on the low end of my healthy weight range, and 20 seems reasonable. If it can be lower, that's great! If it helps, I'm 5'3 and 124.5 lbs right now.

I really don't get it, because I've been following the diet by the book. I've never cheated..

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

PS: I've already had an apple day, and I still didn't lose any weight

You know that HCG only works on abnormal fat, right? If you are trying to force your body below the weight it considers healthy and normal, that won't work...

Yeah, I've read that. After having kids, I've been left with a lot of abnormal fat in my belly and thigh area. I have an unusually small frame, and after a couple of professional tests, it has shown that some areas of my body have far too much fat. My upper arms and inner thighs measure as overweight.

I'm usually between 100-105, so I didn't think 115ish was an unrealistic goal. I will work out and lose the rest of the weight when my youngest is a little older

I'll also add: I've known a couple of people who have achieved the exact same thing I'm looking to achieve. I've seen a few success stories on here too.

You're just in the normal slowdown of the 2nd week. it happens to most of us. Just hang in there and the losses will start again.

Thanks! I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one. Is there a point where I should be concerned if I'm still not losing? Do you know if there is an average weight loss per day for someone at the top end of the healthy spectrum?

Weight loss varies but it's .5-.75 for women, averaged out over the course of the round. So a normal weight loss is about 25-28 pounds in 40 days for women.

Have you only lost 1.4 lbs total, or did you lose something the first week? What are you eating, exactly and in detail?

I lost a total of 4.9lbs the first week.

A typical day of meals would be:

9am-Tea+Stevia
10am-orange smoothie (1 orange,water,ice,Stevia)
12pm-100g chicken breast, raw broccoli/cucumber, 4 soda crackers)
2pm-grapefruit smoothie(1/2 grapefruit,water,ice,Stevia)
6pm-100chicken/green pepper/tomato all in a stir fry with a little chopped garlic, salt, basil, water, oregano.. And 1 Melba toast

Well, as far as I know, when following true protocol, you are NOT to mix your veggies. And some of the veggies you mention are a nono.

Soda crackers are a BIG no-no! You may want to cut out that Melba too, and one of your fruit servings, if you want to try to maximize losses. Broccoli is not on protocol, either.

These could be a major reason why you aren't losing as much. I would make sure you are following POUNDS AND INCHES to a "T" and ONLY eating protocol foods it says. Then see how the losses go

Crap! All if these things that I guess I'm not allowed to do, are all part of my program. I'm with HCG revival-homeopathic Hcg. Are you not supposed to have any carbs? Is there anything else I shouldn't be eating that I currently am eating?

I've been eating green/red peppers, broccoli, cauliflower, celery, tomatoes and cucumber. I've also been using garlic/onion powder

What is a typical "protocol safe lunch/supper?

You NEED to read "Pounds and Inches"

Thanks, everyone for letting me know I was way off protocol. I've read most of pounds and inches (it's just so long I'll read the rest later) I guess I didn't read it before, because I thought it was something else I had to buy. I'm kinda short on cash.

I've revised my daily diet as follows:

9am-tea+Stevia
10am-apple smoothie (1 apple,water,ice,cinnamon,Stevia)
12pm-100g chicken, raw celery, Melba toast
2pm-grapefruit smoothie(1/2 grapefruit,water,ice,Stevia)
5pm-100g chicken, tomato and 1 Melba toast

For the next few days I'm going to cut the Melba toast, like someone previously suggested. I hope the scale starts dropping soon!

I'm glad you found out what the problem is...best wishes in the future. Here's a copy of the diet from P&I:

The Diet

The 500 Calorie diet is explained on the day of the second injection to those patients who will be preparing their own food, and it is most important that the person who will actually cook is present - the wife, the mother or the cook, as the case may be. Here in Italy patients are given the following diet sheet.

BREAKFAST: Tea or coffee in any quantity without sugar. Only one tablespoonful of milk allowed in 24 hours. Saccharin or other sweeteners may be used.

LUNCH: 100 grams of veal, beef, chicken breast, fresh white fish, lobster, crab, or shrimp. All visible fat must be carefully removed before cooking, and the meat must be weighed raw. It must be boiled or grilled without additional fat. Salmon, eel, tuna, herring, dried or pickled fish are not allowed. The chicken breast must be removed raw from the bird.
One type of vegetable only to be chosen from the following: spinach, chard, chicory, beet-greens, green salad, tomatoes, celery, fennel, onions, red radishes, cucumbers, asparagus, cabbage.
One breadstick (grissino) or one Melba toast.
An apple or an orange or a handful of strawberries or one-half grapefruit.

DINNER : The same four choices as lunch.

The juice of one lemon daily is allowed for all purposes. Salt, pepper, vinegar, mustard powder, garlic, sweet basil, parsley, thyme, majoram, etc., may be used for seasoning, but no oil, butter or dressing.
Tea, coffee, plain water, or mineral water are the only drinks allowed, but they may be taken in any quantity and at all times.
