Hi,
I am new to HCG and am going to a HCG clinic. I was told that I should consume 800-1000 calories per day. When i first started the injections i was losing weight daily. I was NOT losing 1 pound like most people on the 500 calorie diet was losing, but i was losing... Now the weightloss has almost stopped. I am doing everything I was before but the weight is not coming off. I have another appointment on Monday and i am debating on whether i should do another round. I have lost 10 pounds in 4.5 weeks.... I need advice. With the HCG injections i am also taking Liprotropics, B-12 along with CLA... |

Imho, it makes NO sense to change the original protocol. If your dose is right, you are not hungry on 500kcal. It is not a hardship at all. PLUS, you aren't really on 500kcal since with hcg, your body mobilizes all the additional energy it needs from the fat cells.
Doctors are delusional at times, because they still have a huge "starvation diet" sign blinking above their head. That would mean the body goes into starvation mode on 500kcal, with the metabolism slowing and the body holding on to any fat it can. Which does not happen with HCG. If a doctor cannot disregard his definition of a "healthy" standard American diet, or cannot disregard his preconceived notion of a starvation diet, he just shouldn't offer HCG. |

Good point Beth!
What you could do Justice is do another round and try the 500 cal version and see how you get on with that. If you're not hungry then it must be right. You could tell the docs that you're doing the 800-1000 one (a little white lie!) if you think they'll start moaning at you about it. |

That's everyone.. Good points..I may do another round and reduce my calories to 500. The only thing is I get 2 injections a week, and with the original protocol I know u are to take the injections everyday. I can't afford going to the clinic and purchase the injections for everyday. Is there a safe reputable place I can get them online?

Hi Justice,
My doctor wanted me on a 1,000 calorie diet as well while taking the HCG RX injections but I have been following the 500 calorie instead and it's working. He also didn't want me to do load days but I made sure to them as well. I started HCG 9 days ago with the 500 calorie protocol and I'm down 11 lbs! I would listen to the veterans of the forum and follow protocol. If your not doing strenuous activities the low calorie diet will work well. Hope this helps! |

Zazagirl - That is a great idea, to just go ahead and do the 500 calorie instead. I have heard so many good results from people who follow the protocol. That is amazing that you have lost 11 pounds in 9 days.
Well i go back to my second round tomorrow... should I load for two days since i am following the 500 calorie protocol? or can i just start the 500 calories? I did not load on the first round as the dr. said it was not necessary. I am so confused and so frustrated with it. i just want to lose weight and it seems impossible :-( Any help you guys can provide would be so appreciated. Thanks!!! |

I am having about 800 calories on the days I work (I work a physical job and worried that it would be too hard on me if I had 500 calories) and 500-600 on days I do not. I am losing well so far. My extra calories are more protein and veggies. I also only have carbs on my work days and then it is a half cup of fibre bran with 1/2 cup of skim milk. I work 7 out of 14 days, so I reason that totalled I am having the same amount of carbs over the week. I know it is not protocol but it keeps me on the plan and so far the losses are good. If I stall I will reduce my calories.
I am not hungry at all and feel very satisfied. |

No, justice, you can't mix drops and shots all the time. You can convert from one to the other but you take them both for a couple of days as you transition. They work differently so you can't really mix them like you're saying. 2 shots a week is part of your problem and the diet is the other.

Justice, the hcg level in your body peaks about 4 hrs after an injection, then slowly goes down again. There's no way you are maintaining a high enough blood level with only 2 injections a week. Do you know the dose of those two injections? Even if they increased the dose, making your level too high for a while, your hunger and weight loss would suffer. I know for myself, I can tell when all the hcg has left my body at the end of a round. Simeon's says it takes 72 hours...but I can tell its pretty much gone after 36 hours.
