Default Starting P2 again? Cheating and resetting...
Hi all,

So basically I've been doing a round for 18 days so far...but I've basically "cheated" most of those days and I haven't lost any weight...well I have gone from 111.6 to 108.8 but then I fluctuate back up again so at the moment I'm 110.2. Part of me realises that this may just be cos I don't have a lot to lose...I'm only really looking to reset my metabolism...

Which leads me to my dilemma. I have some hCG still left, and it's still good...so should I just start over...reload this weekend and start the 21 days fresh...or will my metabolism be reset even though I haven't lost any weight if I don't cheat in p3? I can't make out from the forums whether the reset happens in p2 or p3?

Thanks for any thoughts.

I believe the reset happens in both...you need to rest your hypothalamus in P2, then lock in the new weight in P3. You haven't done the resting, so you won't be able to lock anything in.

If you really want to do this, but you don't really want to lose weight, I'd just stick to the program and eat closer to 800 calories instead of 500. Don't reload. Just start eating on protocol and stick with it for the minimum 26 day round. Or else discuss with yourself whether or not you really want to do this and reevaluate.

I don't think you should be on it at all. You can't possibly have abnormal fat to lose. Dr. Simeon addresses situations like yours in Pounds and Inches in the passage below. Sorry if it sounds harsh but I've seen girls end up in the hospital from trying to lose weight when there is no weight to lose.

Film actresses frequently explain that they must weigh less thannormal. With this request we flatly refuse to comply, first, because we undertake to cure a disorder, not tocreate a new one, and second, because it is in the nature of the HCG method that it is self limiting. It becomescompletely ineffective as soon as all abnormal fat is consumed.

But what about the metabolism reset? I maintain my weight on 300 calories a day under normal (non-HCG) circumstances anyway...??? Plus, I do certainly still have some extra fat in my hips and thighs...I don't look small, in fact quite chunky for my weight (I am very short)

The last couple of days, I 'restarted' P2 with a fresh mindset...but still haven't lost anything even though I've been adhering strictly to protocol. I have been feeling a little hungry, so upped my dose from 150 to 175 as I thought I might be getting to immunity. Feel a little better today, but not perfect (although I guess the new dose may take a couple of days to set in). I am taking SL Rx drops. When I first started (but was "cheating" the whole time) I was using 125 but then upped that to 150 after a couple of days and felt much better in terms of not feeling hungry. All in all, I've been on hCG for 26 days so far though.

But looking at your stats, you're going rogue so that's not going to help the hypothalamus reset. Most hcg doctors believe eating fat derails the hormone's pathway to the hypothalamus. You''d be better off to read The Paleo Answer by Cordain and switch your diet.

I went rogue for R2, got down to 105 (which is my goal) but then messed up and gained back to 110-112 which is where I'm at now. From my experience last round, I think the fact I went rogue in addition to my messing up p3 was what ruined my stabilisation so I'm going 100% back to protocol this time like i did for r1.
