Different forms of mag have differing effects on your bowels. When I'm in need of a visit from the bathroom fairy, I take 2 500 mg tabs of mag oxide and by morning, the fairy pays me a visit. . Unless its medically contraindicated, increase your dose tonite to 2 tabs and see what happens.

How much magnesium citrate should you take to "regulate" your bowels? Directions say entire bottle but I know from past experience that is a complete cleanse. And I am assuming when you say mag oxide you are referring to magnesium tablets? Right.
