I am still NEW, but I have lost 11 lbs in 14 days so far. However, my day usually goes like this. Coffee plain or Tea with stevia and lemon at about 730am.... 9am, I have s strawberry smoothie (9 strawberries, water, ice and stevia).... At 11, I have a piece of melba toast, at noon I have some chicken breast I have doctored up with spices and spinach or salad with lemon and salt. I get home and immediately have a melba toast again. Dinner, I have grilled steak or fish, with salad or spinach with lemon and salt. For an evening snack, I have another one of my strawberry smoothies. I drink hot tea, but mostly iced tea that I have made from tea bags, throughout the day, including water.

My day is pretty boring, coffee in the morning chicken breast with lemon and celery for lunch, shrimp and lemon with cucumbers for dinner or london broil and cucumbers. Orange or apple for dessert. Water all day long.
Couple of things that I do that really help is right after i buy my package of chicken breasts, i cut and measure them, bake them for an hour and bag them in snack sized bags to keep in the fridge. I do the same with the shrimp. The london broil I just cut and measure without cooking and just throw it on my George Forman grill when I want it. By having them all measured and bagged it really helps to just be able to grab them and add the seasonings that I want. Also, I buy my london broil from a local ranch, it has much less fat than the kind you get from the grocery store. Jamey |

I love very lean hamburger patties. I make ahead and freeze so I can grab one with some veggies for a quick meal. I love cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower and asparagus. Also make chicken soup with chicken breast, broth, Rotel tomatoes, cumin and chili powder. Sometimes I add cabbage and sometimes pre cut broccoli slaw that I pick out all the carrots. Sometimes I cook a very lean rump roast and it is a real treat. I know some of these veggies are not strict protocol, but I have had no problems losing .5 lbs per day. I also seem to do better with beef for some reason, so I eat it often.

My typical menu:
2 liters of water during work hours cold shrimp and either radishes or cukes for lunch strawberries for a snack halibut or chicken and cabbage for dinner apple for snack if hungry or I remember (usually while watching tv) 2 grissinis during the day (again when the crunch craving is needed) then either tea or 1 liter of water while at home I tend to cut and weight my weeks worth of protien and put in bags in the fridge. Then all I have to do is grab a baggie and its worry free for meals. Its a no brainer in a hurry. Easy to cook since its a small amount, just add spices or cook in broth. |

I am NEW too!! Today is VLCD2........I feel bored with food already too. Thank God I live Veggies & Fruit. My sister would never be able to do this diet... She hates all veggies/fruit/fish/shrimp etc. LOL.
Yesterday I had Coffee with Stevia in AM, lunch I had 3.5 shrimp, cucumber with salt n strawberrys..... Actually was a lot more on a plate than expected. Dinner I had 3.5 oz chicken breast with Mrs. Dash rub, 10 stalks of Asparagus (sprayed lightly with PAM and put Garlic powder on it) and then strawberries again. I drank 10-12 cups of water..... This AM I was 1.2 lbs DOWN...... I thought to myself I CAN DO THIS!!!!! Its hard to eat so little but when you step on that scale and the number keeps going lower and lower..... you look at yourself in the mirror and say I CAN DO THIS LOL!!!! Good luck to you guys!!!! PRELOAD ~ 166.6 LD1 ~ 165.6 LD2 ~ 165.6 VLCD1 ~ 164.4 VLCD2 ~ TBD |

I try to alternate between proteins, but making sure I'm spicing up or marinating the meat for added flavor. I've boiled, broiled, baked & grilled to vary the flavors & moisture levels of the the chicken in particular! When I make dinner, I usually make enough of everything for the next day. I keep things organize in the fridge, so I can grab to cook, store &/or grab to go! I do wish I had stock in Ziplok! LOL!
I make enough of one vegetable for 2-3 days (example cabbage for a hot dish); I cut up cucumbers, weigh & put into bags to go; celery (wrap in foil & it will last longer); I keep lettuce ready to go to wrap OR ready to shred or tear for having my meat top (I use fresh lemon to squeeze over the top). I keep strawberries, grapefruit, oranges and apples (just a few of each). Just get yourself a system, spice up your foods to not get bored AND go for it! YOU CAN do it!!!! Sherli |

Today I made mini meatloafs in muffin tins and mock mashed potatoes (mashed cauliflower). It was delicious! For the meatloaf I mixed one pound of very lean ground beef, chopped onion, an egg, some crushed melba rounds, tomato sauce, and mustard. For the cauliflower I cut up a head and boiled it until it was really soft. I roasted some garlic cloves in the oven and added it to the cauliflower along with salt and pepper. I beat it like you do potatoes and it tasted a lot like garlic mashed potatoes. I have a lot of leftovers for other meals too!

Each round, I seem to have favorites. And in that round, I eat the same things over and over again. The last round, it was P2 chili from phasestoforever.blogspot.com and a spicy chicken soup (water, chicken, whatever random spices I pull from the spice cabinet, onions or cabbage or tomatoes or spinach). The Greek chicken and ranch chicken from that site are good, too.
This round, I'm eating asparagus or tomato or spinach soup just about every day (cooked asparagus with water or tomatoes pureed in the blender. Add garlic, onion powder, salt, pepper, basil, thyme. Stir in your 1 T of milk if you want). I've also been eating lots of "sausage" patties, crumbles or meatballs (chicken breast, 1/2 clove garlic, 1/8 tsp red pepper flakes, 1/4 tsp crushed fennel seed, salt & pepper, a little onion if you're okay with mixing vegetables, grind in the food processor and cook). I put the meatballs in soup with thinly sliced onion or cabbage. The crumbles are good on a large salad of baby greens, orange sections and a dressing of red wine vinegar, mustard powder and orange juice. I made some kale chips the other night. I don't love them, but the crunch is nice. I treated myself to lobster last week and found I don't really like lobster without melted butter. |

I am so siked!!! Started my Load Days Fri/Sat and started VLCD on Sunday. I am down 4.5 lbs since Friday :-) Less than a week!!
Had a scrumpious meal tonight. Spinach cut up, with grilled chicken breast on top. I think the best part was the homemade dressing!!! Here is the recipe: In a shaker combine 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar 1/2 cup water 3/4 teaspoon garlic 1/4 teaspoon minced garlic (not necessary but I liked it) 1/2 teaspoon sea salt (I used coarse) 1/2 teaspoon pepper or to taste 1/2 teaspoon stevia or to taste 1 teaspoon dried oregano 1/2 teaspoon italian seaoning 1/4 teaspoon cumin or to taste ( I don't like that much) 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes - optional Shake vigorously and pour over your lettuce or spinach etc.... I used it on my spinach and then cut up chicken breast and put in on... YUMMY!!!!!! ** I use a shaker as mentioned above - then I keep in fridge and when I need again ~ I shake and use :-) |

I bake a yummy white fish multiple times a week. Usually a cod and it's mild and no bones!
Add salt & pepper over the fish A dash of garlic powder A dash of soy sauce Chopped cilantro over the fish A smidge of freshly grated ginger over the fish Add some water - 2tblsp to bottom of glass baking dish before cooking Bake at 475 for 10 minutes -- voila, perfect every time and tasty! |

Hello! This is my first round also. I am on day 12 of very low calorie diet and I am down 12 pounds total. I am not a very creative cook. I have 1/2 grapefruit with Truvia sweetener and black coffee with same sweetener every am. Then for lunch I have salad with blackened chicken (a bunch of spices only - no sugar or flower - paprika/cumin/white pepper/garlic powder - make 4 breasts at a time and stick in fridge for 2-3 days and grab 1/2 breast for lunch and dinner.) I make a killer dressing with french dijon mustard (find one with no sugar) and mix with salt/pepper and apple cider vinegar. Packs a punch but super yummy! Dinner is usually the same or I use my pre made chicken and steam some zucchini or mushrooms with squirt of lemon and some salt. Then for my big treat at night I have 1 apple chopped and poor a ton of cinnamon and add trivia - microwave for 3 minutes, top with cottage cheese. When I make this at work everyone goes nuts - it smells so yummy everyone thinks I am eating apple pie.
Seems boring but by day 12 my appetite is so diminished that this is more than enough food. Good luck! Hang in there. The first 5 days were the toughest for me but it has really been a breeze! |

Here is what I did with my Lean Beef.....
I put in small pan and browned it with onion powder and minced garlic. After brown, I cut up a medium tomato (diced small) and put the tomato and juices into the same pan as beef and added some salt/pepper...... I simmered until tomato's were soft and squished tomatoes to make like a sauce..... simmered a little longer for flavor and ate it..... Pretty good! |

I've just been eating beef chili and chicken curry - making a big batch and alternating them. It sounds quite boring but I prefer meals like that to a bunch of lettuce or spinach and I have lost some interest in food really for the past week so I'm just eating because I have to. I do feel a bit hungry in the mornings but once I have an apple around 10.30am it goes away, then I feel slightly hungry before taking my drops each time but that goes away quickly too once I take them.
the first week I did more experimenting with food but chili and curry have been nicer than everything else so I've just stuck with them. It's great actually because I don't have to do any preparation each day now, just grab a portion out of the freezer and take it to work (it has defrosted by lunch time). |
