Default Lost 7 pounds after one night of drinking after finishing HCG round
I thought it was really odd. And I am looking at my ticker and see that I was weighing 166.4 when I finished my last day of HCG. Actually it was 166 and I went out and I believe I drank quite a bit of wine (this was in Feb) and I noticed that I lost SEVEN pounds. I went down to 159. I think I stayed at that weight for a few days. I wish I had of stayed there longer but a week a later I was back at 166. And I floated within 2 pounds for quite awhile. I finally got over 168 and couldn't get back down to 166 so I thought it was time for me to start another round, plus I have a birthday coming up I just wanted to get people's thoughts.

I usually have a nice drop in weight after drinking - but that is only if I don't get the munchies! Or eat my evening meal

That's interesting you say that, I lost 2 pounds loading and I had 3 beers the night before? I wonder what that means?

Truth? I don't think it means anything. Go check out folks who drink a lot of beer consistently, and they tend towards big guts. There's a reason they call it a beer belly!

Alcohol is a diuretic. You will lose water weight after drinking too much, and you will gain it back over the course of the next days.

And if you do this consistently (drink a lot in order to lose water weight), then you will find yourself drinking more and more to get that effect. And that can just plain lead to bad things.

I was not trying to drink to lose weight as I've never found that to be a successful weight loss option. I wouldn't be here if it were. I just thought a significant loss of 6 or 7 pounds in one day when all I really had was wine for the first time in a long time was interesting. I did actually continue to drink and I gained it back over the next week. I've actually gained more in the first 3 days of loading than I have in the 2 months since I finished the first round of the diet. Perhaps I will have a wine day, Im kidding,

I had 3 vodka/soda's last night and dropped 2.4 pounds; it is definitely a strange phenomenon.

It sure is tempting because today was not a good day for me. I ate 6 apples, 15 cocktail shrimp, crab legs and black eye peas. I have two shots of vodka in the fridge but I am going to pass. I hope I don't gain tomorrow. I am thinking of ending the diet early... I only have 10 more pounds well about 8 more pounds to go and I am wondering if I should just go back to a low carb diet. I've lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks on one of those before.
