I'm hoping to extend my round (if I can do it mentally) but I wonder if it's worth it and would I really lose that much more?
How were your results and would you do it again? I was following a thread of someone who was like in day 60 but I can't find it now. |

I've never done a longer round than is recommended (40 days of hcg). But I have found I felt better and lose better if I take a planned interruption in the middle of my rounds. If you want to do a longer round, I would recommend an interruption every so often. Sorry I'm not more help. |

Basically, you stop injections for 72 hrs, but continue the VLCD. Then eat P3-style (no sugar/no starch) during the interruption. You can then resume the VLCD and the injections (without loading) after the interruption. An interruption lasts from 4 days to 2 weeks. Any longer and you have to start a new round instead. I've taken a week off in each of my first two rounds and didn't gain weight.
From P&I: Unforeseen Interruptions of Treatment If an interruption of treatment lasting more than four days is necessary, the patient must increase his diet to at least 800 Calories by adding meat, eggs, cheese, and milk to his diet after the third day, as otherwise he will find himself so hungry and weak that he is unable to go about his usual occupation. If the interval lasts less than two weeks the patient can directly resume injections and the 500-Calorie diet, but if the interruption lasts longer he must again eat normally until he has had his third injection. When a patient knows beforehand that he will have to travel and be absent for more than four days, it is always better to stop injections three days before he is due to leave so that he can have the three days of strict dieting which are necessary after the last injection at home. This saves him from the almost impossible task of having to arrange the 500 Calorie diet while en route, and he can thus enjoy a much greater dietary freedom from the day of his departure. Interruptions occurring before 20 effective injections have been given are most undesirable, because with less than that number of injections some weight is liable to be regained. After the 20th injection an unavoidable interruption is merely a loss of time. |

I lost 27 pounds in 42 days (had a 13 day planned interruption for work in the middle); I am right around goal weight now. If I had lost a few more pounds, I probably wouldn't have complained. BUT I will say that I noticed in the last 3 pounds or so that I lost cup size in my breasts and that the skin on my abdomen looks a bit.....baggy. It is better now (the tummy, not the bosom!), but I really can see how losing more than 34 pounds/15 k (what Dr S suggested) could really make it hard for your skin to stay nice and tight to your muscle layer.
Maybe it is different when you go into a round knowing that you have 100+ pounds to lose, and you know already that there is going to be some inevitable skin stretchage, but at my weight, I wouldn't be willing to chance it for another 10 pounds. It was amazing the body difference I had in just a continued 3 or so pound loss. |

Hi clairebear! I am in VLCD 61 and doing great. My best advice is stick with protocol. If you decide to go long, make sure your ready for it. I really enjoy the strictness of P2, since I have no self control. My main reason is that I am medically "weird", I become tolerant to "medicines", and I am afraid if I stop HCG, it will not work for me anymore. That theory will be tested at the end of May when I return to HCG (I only have about 10 days of HCG left, and will transition to P3 and P4- three weeks each). If it still works, then I will do a standard 43 day, then cycle back.
Again, sticking to protocol works best. Some people get pretty bored with the food, and miss "being normal" with friends and family. Most of the stuff I ate before will (and has been) eliminated from my life, after HCG, I am going to eat Primal/Paleo, which is very similar to P3, so nothing is going to be any different for me. I'm on VLCD 102 today, going another 3 weeks and then done, lost 58 lbs so far and still doing great. I'm on rx pellets and I skip one day/week. I know I'm very rogue, I did a year of research while I breastfed before I weened and then started the diet, so had lots of time to plan everything to a tee. I love eating protocol, it's so easy and I don't get bored. I have a semi cheat day once a week where I make a batch of cocoa crack or have a rogue veggie like zucchini or broccoli and I had some wine at a party about a month ago as a mid-diet treat. These things help keep me going over the long haul. Go for it and good luck!

Also, how long should I wait before starting another round? I was on my first round for 20 days and then had some issues and had to stop. I am ready to start again and do a 40 day round Any suggestions? Thanks! |

Wow!!! 102 days??? That's amazing but what great results - really how do you do it?? When you have a semi cheat day don't you get set back wt wise? Or is that what helps you keep going? Oh and honestly, I don't care about skin sagging. After babies and stretch marks, if Gwenth Paltrow can walk around with skinny, saggy thighs then I'm just fine with it too! (although I've read that water soaking post P2 helps the skin to unwrinkle. We'll see!) |

She has the same trainer as Madonna (Anderson) and Believe me ALL her muscles are Super Tight. Its freaking Annoying!!! Lol. But alas, Hollywood standards are on awhole nather level. Anyhooo, I mostly wanted to ask what exactly "Water Soaking" is and how do you do it? Do you use Epsom salt? How hot is the water?? Etc. Unlike you (I have no children yet), my biggest fear is saggy wrinkly skin and saggy boobs. I am already trying to accept the fact that the strechmarks on my stomach and love handle may not go away, but if I can tighten the skin, I'm all for it. P.S I also started taking MSM. I hear it helps with tightening the skin among other benifits. |

What is *MSM*? lol I just saw your question an I was about to go to bed... so I did the lazy thing and copy/pasted the best answer I got from one of the threads I subscribe to. Here goes. I hope this helps. I was reading the posts and someone wanted to know about the MSM, I take the pure MSM in liquid form, I put a tablespoon in my morning coffee everyday Ive been using it for about 3 weeks and I noticed the wrinkles(crow feet)around my eyes, the skin is softening and the fines lines are become smoother not so deep, I have a list of what the MSM does, it's more than just for skin,nails and hair. MY hair loss has almost stopped and it helps with absorbtion of vitamin C Reduces scar tissue and wrinkles and helps with skin tightening and elastictity,increases energy and oxygen to the body Helps hair and nail grow, Reduces headaches,cramps and muscle pain(have not had any headaches this round) it also reduces inflammation due to injury or diseases such as arthritis |
