SBD phase 2 allows for some carbs to be put back in slowly. Some fruit, some rice, whole grain breads etc. Your choice, so phase 2 of SB would not be OK for p3 of HCG.
Phase 1 of SB is no starch, NO FRUIT, no sugar etc. but on the plan P1 only lasts 2 weeks, just to get rid of the cravings. P2 and P3 of HCG allows for some fruit in each phase. I think the doctor either wants you to have some grains or forgot how P2 of SB works. When I am finished with my HCG...all the way, I will do A LOT of the South Beach recipes! They are awesome! I will not, however, do grains much, however. (I lost 42 lbs in 3 months on SB and would have kept going if we were not staying with my inlaws for 18 months after that. They had health problems we stayed to spend time with them, but they no longer have much of a kitchen and I was always in the way and they never approved of the money it costs to eat healthy ![]() So, I am now going to do HCG and like I said, then I will use their recipes a lot, yummy.
