Default Does turkey have more calories than beef?
If I substitute a Jennie-O ground turkey patty for a beef patty is it OK to do that occasionally or is turkey a big No-No in P2?
Beef seems like it would be higher calorie but from looking at the product labels the turkey is higher??

Any input would be appreciated.

Turkey is a BIG no-no due to fat content - stick with the beef patty! Turkey also tends to make a lot of folks stall.

Quite frankly, I am afraid to buy ground beef these days with all of this "pink slime" news.

I can understand the pink slime concern, but there are stores that don't add it. This article explains which do and don't:

That's a good idea, too, hcg? I ground both beef and chicken in my little Magic Bullet. I don't think I'd want to do pounds and pounds of meat, but it worked well for my few ounces. (I made meatballs out of them each time for my soup!)
