Default Doctor Advised that I will be hungry- WHAT!
I called my doctors office today to confirm that my shots will be at their office tomorrow for hubby to pick up since I am traveling. I asked the nurse for instructions on how to inject myself, etc etc and loading, etc etc etc. I asked her do I need to call her to adjust my dosage if I am hungry. She told me I would be starving from VLCD 1-4 "honey your only eating 500 calories, your going to be VERY VERY VERY hungry, every person gets hungry but then you get used to it and hunger goes away" WHAT!!!! I cant do this if Im going to be hungry

So I just looked at my paperwork from my consultation and there is another packet in there called "HC3 trim food list"- All other packets of information are basically taken out of Siemons protocol and is labeled "HCG"- what the heck is HC3 - isnt it totally differnt from RX HCG? If they are giving me HC3 compounded (Not confirmed yet) would this explain why she thinks I would be hungry- and can you even inject HC3?

Thanks

I would think that anything injectable is real hcg. That's all I've heard about. Find out what dose you are taking first. You will NOT be hungry on the correct dose but if they're used to people being hungry then they must routinely be giving the wrong dose.

Colleen,
Please Help me I am frustrated! I am on R1P2D12 The first five days I dropped ten pound no problems, for the past five days I have not lost anything I am staying the same and I am HUNGRY, when I eat I want more! I organized all my meal to be 3-4 hours apart , two meals and two snacks, so I am eating good; a solid 500 calories. Currently I weigh 155lbs and I am wanting to get to my before baby weight of 135lb. I am 30yrs old and at 27 I had a full hysterectomy to ovarian cancer and endometriosis and am currently taking 1mg Estradiol daily, I also have fibromyalgia and take pain relievers, and muscle relaxers.
My cousin is taking the same thing as I (homeopathic drops) and she is dropping the weight very well while being on r2p2d12.
Please help me any advice or guidance would be forever appreciated; I need to lose this for my wedding. Prior to trying hcg, I would workout 2 hours daily, run four miles, and lift weights then go home and spend the day riding my bike or hiking and still I would not lose a pound! I have had my thyroid checked and nothing is found.

Warm Regards,
Tahoesnobrat

I just wanted to say that I am always miserable until Day 5 (which happens to be today for me in R4). Today I feel great, and I'm not hungry at all. And I've expereienced this in all of my other rounds. Seems my body takes a while to ramp up to the benefits of hcg. Just a different perspective.

Colleen- I just received my shots (Pre-filled) and they are in U-100 insulin syringes..it looks like hcg is only to the 10 mark- is that right? thanks

There's no way of knowing without asking how it was mixed and the actual dose. Call the doctor and ask. I wouldn't take them until I knew for sure the dose.

Ummmm I already started this morning. OOPS. I just did a little research on the syringes and they are 100 units. If the line is at the 10 mark that would mean 100 Iu's of HCG. This is PURE RX HCG. I am not sure what it would have been mixed with at the pharmacy. You now have me thinking though and will call the doctor on Monday morning- Just to make sure. Thanks!

NO that's not necessarily true, mom. It all depends on how it was mixed. Right now there are two popular ways to mix. With one, 25 units is 125. With the other 50 units is 125 iu. So it all depends on how it was mixed. Obviously this was mixed more potently than we like but since you have no idea how it was mixed you can't assume anything. 100 units would be an extremely low dose for a doctor to start you on. It's lower than the usual 125 IM shot so delivered subcutaneously isn't going to be nearly enough. Can you call the pharmacy?

Grammy,

I just got in touch with the nurse at the doctors office and thought it was lower because they had to make mine special without B-12. She called her Office Manager who was more knowledgeable about the dosing, and she confirmed that the syringes are about 25-50 higher with the B-12 mixture added in them.

My doctor is pretty serious about me not taking ANY B-12. (1967 is pretty high enough- you would think I would be bouncing off the walls, but Im pretty tired all the time.)

I hope that makes more sense- If it doesn't- I hope I am not getting ripped off here by my trusted doc of 14 years

Honey, that still doesn't tell us what the DOSE is. Ask how much hcg is in the injection. Every pharmacy mixes it differently. If it's REALLY 100 iu then that's too low and you WILL be hungry.

And most of us do not put b12 in the injection. That's not the normal way to dose anyway. So that again tells us nothing.

Colleen,

Doctor called me back this morning and advised that the the HCG is .0125 ML (Which tells ME nothing- LOL) I asked her for the conversion to I.U's and she said it was 125 I.U's - but they try to add a little more in each shot.

Thank you again for your wisdom and for your help...I hope 125 will be enough for me

Okay that's a little low for most people but you can see how you do.
