I am on hcg drops from health food store 6 of round 2, I have not had a bit of problems round 1 I actually felt better then i have in a long time, lost 25 round 1 since I started back I have noticed more hunger. And today I woke up and when I got out of bead I felt like I was rolling down a hill. I am still having unsteady feelings but i did not go to ER because I do not want to quit on HCG and we all know that is the first thing the DR will say. Any one else have these type of symptons. I thought perhaps it could be low sugar or low potassium so I ate a bannana and some cinnamon toast know they are not on diet but thought it would help. I would appreciate any input any one has I do not want to quit .
Thanks Jayknee |

I couldn't get my eyes to focus and was a total flake for the first 7 days on drops. I swear people thought I was stoned. It got better. I never felt unsteady but I sure bumped into everything and I was so tired I couldn't move my arms.
It may be a dosing issue (too much?) or the drops themselves. Maybe one of the pros will have more info for you |

I can't really add much, but my friend has experienced the same thing at the start of both her rounds. She would just skip a dose of drops if she felt that way and the last time she upped her protein thinking that she was just needing a little more to get her going than the 500 cals with no breakfast. It got her through and now she's better. Don't know why it happens, like I said it happened both her rounds, only in the beginning and I never had that at all. Craziness all around with this wonderful hhcg!

Thanks I didn't know if I should increase or skip so thanks for answering colleen, I hope this goes away and I will keep you posted so others can benefit from my experiences. I have had border line low blood sugar in the past, and I had heard cinnamon was good for that and somewhere I read that it might be potassium levels. Feeling better I think so i will take my drops and stay with my diet.

i had simular issues as you in fact i wasnt going to start this 3rd round till i saw my dr thats how scared i was but then i figured that if i didnt start it (already did 2 long rounds and this one is a short one) i would have to wait even longer so i went ahead with it and then saw my dr yesterday (today is my LID) i spoke with him about my dizziness, migraines, nausea the list goes on i also have a very hard time sleeping at night but i do not want ambian or any narcotic meds he said its panic attacks because of all my symtoms and also i have hypoglycemia so i need to eat through out the day if it gets real bad i think you should consult a dr thats just my opinion personally i do not think my symptoms have anything to do with the hcg because i had them before hcg ... i hope you feel better but please if it gets worse see your dr about it just to be on the safe side

Jayknee, I was also feeling dizzy (and exhausted) and was concerned since I have two young children to care for a husband who travels a ton. So...a little research, visit to the local health food store and one week later - I'm feeling much, much better. No dizzy spells. No muscle fatigue. Taking potassium magnesium compound and a B complex vitamin, both I attribute to feeling much better and being able to continue on this journey.

I used RxHCG and I don't know enough to know how it may be different that hHCG, however, I had bad dizziness throughout both of my rounds. I would also be especially dizzy when I stood up (postural hypotension). I began taking my blood pressure and discovered I'd gone from 140/85 to 105/65. I checked with my doctor and he told me HCG is a vasodialator (opens the blood vessels) and that the lower BP is natural. He had me switch to regular salt (from Sea Salt) and it helped me a lot.

that's also why people have to be very careful if they're on meds for high blood pressure. they generally have to reduce them during P2, or even stop taking them completely. and although 105/65 is fine for BP, it's the change that screws you up- if that was what your BP normally was, you wouldn't have trouble with postural hypotension.

Glad I found this thread.
I had a scary incident today. I'm on hhcg drops and have been doing 12 drops 3x a day. I'm on VCLD4. I have been diagnosed with adrenal fatigue and found out today that this causes low blood pressure and hcg also causes low blood pressure. I took my cortisol supplment today but I also had fruit only in the morning and don't know if it caused me to crash. I am not aware that I suffer from low blood sugar and don't know if this is the same as low blood pressure. I also have had issues where I needed potasssium in the past. I had to do something at the time so I took another potassium supplement (I had already had my potassium supp and a multi-vitamin with lunch) and then I made a make-shift sports drink with a bit of baking soda, salt, a bit of honey, squeezed an orange and added this to water. I then took a straight half-teaspoon of honey. I feel much better now. My hands have warmed back up, the circulation feels like it's normalizing, and I feel a little more normal...one weird thing, I seem to be a bit sensitive to light. Any thoughts on what I should do moving forward? Right now I plan to keep up my cortisol supps and take 2 potassium supplements a day and maybe increase my salt intake and use regular salt? Any advice would be welcome as I was a bit shaken today. Thank you!! Claire |

Be careful with potassium supplements, too much can hurt you. What are the instructions that came with them? I would not exceed the recommended dose. Use sea salt, but don't overdo it with that either. Low blood pressure is not the same as low blood sugar, and neither of them is the same as a nutrient deficiency. All of these can be a concern with hcg. It's known to lower blood pressure, it's not unheard of for people to experience low blood sugar, and your vital nutrients can wash out due to excessive water intake.

I didn't stay on the HCG after I continued to have the dizzyness and I am starting back on it today, and saw this post from before and thought I would share my experience for others. I ended up at the DR's because it would not go away even after I got off the drops. so figred something was going on. I was so amazed one trip to a rehabilitation clinic, a 10 - 20 minute maneuver, and it was gone, they said it was a definite case of veritgo, I did ask if he thought the HCG could be the culprit, and he said he wouldn't think so, and it may have just been a coincidnce that the dizzyness came on at the same time. Never the less I was afraid to start the diet again but now I have decided that since it was the only thing that worked for me in years I was going to try it again. I think that since there is 40 days in Lent this was the perfect time to start, I will keep you posted if I experience dizzy spells again
Good luck to you all Hope to drop 30 lbs by Easter. |

Sometimes the dizziness is a need for some potassium too. We can drink TOO much water and flush out electrolytes. Try some extra salt, Mrs, and some potassium. |
