Default Coconut Water - Drink It? OK in P2 or P3?
Just got back from picking up some Almond Flour, in preperation of P3 next week, and I seen some Coconut Water. After reading about the benefits to this I almost bought some, especially for my daughters to have before their soccer games and practices instead of Gatorade. The 2 brands that I can get at my local store are http://www.zico.com/ and http://www.vitacoco.com/.

Looing at the Zico Natural, the ingredients are 100% natural coconut water. The Zico Mango has 100% natural coconut water, citric acid, natural mango flavor and the Zico Passion Fruit & Orange have 100% natural coconut water, citric acid, natural orange and passion fruit flavors.

My questions are these:
1. Do you drink this coconut water?
2. If yes, does it just replace sports drinks or do you drink it more often?
3. Is this ok to drink during P2 and P3 of the protocol?

Not in P2 for sure! What are the carbs in it? Not sure about P3 either.

See an image in this link for nutritional info

http://www.livelongerandhealthier.co.uk/zico/ziconatural.html

It is quite high in carbs/sugar but isn't this equivalent to sugars found in other fruits (which as far as I am aware are allowed in P3)?

That is higher than regular fruits. And Dr S cautions to be careful with very sweet fruit. So I don't think I would try it early on it P3. You could cautiously try a bit after 2 weeks though.

The other thing is that with real fruit you are eating the peeling and getting fiber with it so that slows down the jolt of sugar to the bloodstream. that doesn't happen with juice or coconut milk.

blueberries are no in P2 - they aren't in protocol, but they are great to start early in P3.

Hi what about blueberries in P2?
For the record... I have personally had great success eating blueberries during p2. As a flavoring to my egg white protein smoothie. And just for my fruit portion. Just try not to have more than 4 oz
