Its becasue of the FDA. If you do the drops then you can get them from www.hcgdietdirect.com. They worked with the FDA and will be selling as long as the FDA doesnt change the guidlines again. I use their drops and do great!

Holy Crap, these are expensive! I got mine for $20 including shipping for 2 oz bottle. They are the real thing too. This just sucks!

That can't be right. HCGdietdirect is one of the companies that got an actual Warning Letter from the FDA. http://www.fda.gov/ICECI/Enforcement.../ucm282052.htm If they are "working with the FDA", then they are working as hard as they can to keep their noses clean and stay aboveboard with any activity.

IRMartin 02-28-2012 12:35 AM

I just talked to someone there and he told me that they had met all the requirments that the FDA set.

Yes they are pretty expensive but I like the fact that you can contact them anytime with questions. And the doctor that created this brand is available.

I'm sorry; we will just to agree to disagree. When the FDA bans the selling of homeopathic hCG supplements and sends this company a warning letter, then I would consider that a company continuing to sell the same homeopathic drops would be in non-compliance with what they were ordered. And I doubt that a person working for the company would tell you that they were going against government orders to sell them.

They have changed the way things are labeled and that is how they did it. For example the "Ultimate Weight Loss & Metabolism Formula" is now "HCG Diet Metabolizer & Energy Supplement". (Which really helps me maintain the 1-2 pounds a day loss)

Again, we will just have to agree to disagree.

This: "Product Description:

Homeopathic HCG Diet Direct® liquid Drops-
15 Day Supply- 1oz Bottle- Provides 2x the dosage than most brands). This Exclusive Homeopathic Formula Includes Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG)."

is in direct violation of this: "Based on our review, “HCG Diet Homeopathic Drops” is an unapproved new drug in violation of sections 301 and 505 of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (the Act) [21 U.S.C. §§ 331 and 355] and is misbranded in violation of sections 503 and 301 of the Act [21 U.S.C. §§ 353 and 331]....“HCG Diet Homeopathic Drops” is a prescription drug under section 503(b)(1) of the Act [21 U.S.C. § 353(b)(1)]. Section 503(b)(1) of the Act [21 U.S.C. § 353(b)(1)] provides that a drug which “because of its toxicity or other potentiality for harmful effect, or the method of its use, or the collateral measures necessary to its use, is not safe for use except under the supervision of a practitioner licensed by law to administer such drug” shall be dispensed upon a prescription by a practitioner licensed by law to administer such drug....You should take prompt action to correct the violations cited in this letter. Failure to promptly correct these violations may result in legal action without further notice, including, without limitation, seizure and injunction."

They are selling a homeopathic drug, which the FDA has ordered removed from the market. Changing the labels isn't going to change what they are selling.
