Default First Full Day P3 Menu: Critique
ok could use a little critique of my menu:

B- 2 farm fresh eggs, 1 egg white with butter and mushrooms, 1/2 & 1/2 in coffee

L- small plain burger, salad with fresh veggies and shrimp, with a sugar free tomato dressing, broccoli & cauliflower with homemade Ranch (mayo, cream cheese, lemon juice and Ranch packet) and a small apple

D- marinated chicken (olive oil, rosemary, thyme, garlic & oregano), broccoli, green beans & cauliflower with butter, more Ranch dip and 1/2 of avocado

100 oz water

No snacks I was way too stuffed...so I concentrated on my proteins. Is this looking ok to all p3ers for a first day?

be careful with sugar free foods. A lot of the time if it says sugar free it has some other form of sugar substitute and they can be harmful to you.

No no on the green beans they are considered a starch.

French cut green beans are ok. You did fine, the first few days of P3 you will jump all over the place. Don't worry about a .4 gain, it will even out. I agree with the sugar free stuff. Stay away from sugar free and fat free. Fat free stuff usually has more sugar than the regular ones.

So just keep keeping on like I did yesterday, lots of protein and lots of low carb veggies, low sugar fruit and good fats? It is hard to get the "fat is bad for you" mentality out of your head!!! but that dip I made was sooooo good!

I thought in P3 we could eat any veggies we wanted. On some protocols in P2 green beans are allowed, as is broccoli. I figured I could go back to green beans and broccoli now, otherwise this is nothing but P2.

I'm eating my green beans LOL

Sorry, but you are mistaken on this, not really sure where you got that from. There's no way green beans could be considered a starch, if anything they have a little bit of sugar in them but they definitely aren't as bad as peas. Green beans are fine in P3, unless someone has a specific issue, but in general they are just fine.

I thought that for the first few days, we are increasing calories slowly by 100-200 a day till we reach 1500-1800 or so? At least that is what my protocol says. I would only increase protein and add one new food at a time.

One cup of raw whole milk is 160 cal and three whole pastured eggs 210 cal, so I am going to start adding those two first, one by one to see how my body reacts weight wise.

I think your proof will be in the scale. If you gain more than 2 lbs, a correction day is recommended. I don't know what you ate in P2, so if you deviated from the protocol and these veggies were fine for you, then there are fine for you now too most likely. Your protein looks fine for a P3 meal. You just need to use a cal counter maybe to see where you got with this.

HTH!
