what are the best/worst food combos for good results?

I am P2D18 - and have decided that I hope to not have to do this again. I have had great success so far but I want to make the most of of this. I have seen different posts about what worked for some - I wasn't doing really well until someone told me to try dropping the melba - worked like a charm - I am now down 15lbs. I would love to hear from some of you voices of experience about what worked best for you....are there food combos that are more effective...and what didn't work. I saw several comments that oranges kept some people from losing...so I have avoided them altogether...why not?? It would be great to use my last 22 days to make the best choices - as I am expecting I will slow down soon, so I want all of my choices to be the best.

thanks - will be looking forward to seeing this thread.http://hcgdietinfo.com/hcgdietforums...lies/smile.png

I have had the most success by having chicken w/ large cucumber lunch; then for dinner fish or chicken w/any veggie. Then I eliminate the fruits, instead having 2 extra servings of proteins for snacks. Also, I eliminate the grissini and have 1/2 cup of skim milk in my coffee throughout the day.

I also use TRUVIA (I know it's not really allowed). If I am craving sweets I will have strawberries dipped in truvia.

Also, if I am in a social situation where people are drinking (and I have no will power to abstain), I will nurse one vodka with club soda. If I go to a restaurant I always get a dry ceasar salad, no croutons, no dressing w/ grilled chicken or shrimp.

Yeah, I have had great success also by dropping the melbas and the fruits. I basically eat double the protein at each meal with 1 veggie, and that has kept my losses up. I average about 1.2lbs per day, but I have unfortunately had some cheat days which have brought my total average down to .85lbs per day. I've only stalled twice, for one day each, and it always ended up with a visit from the Whoosh Fairy and a big loss the day after.

I have heard pretty often that tomatos and beef make a lot of people stall, but I have not had that issue. My go-to meal these last days of P2 is any protein with lettuce. It's just so simple and easy. I was sort of obsessed early in the round with trying all sorts of combos but I have gotten boring as I go. In the beginning I loved making cabbage and ground beef soup and I lost very well on that too. But overall, I reccomend being as low-carb as the protocol allows.

I have the same problem with cheat days!! However.. it keeps me sane.

yikes - I didn't know that truvia wasn't allowed - have been drinking that with my tea. I have 8lbs. to go to the goal I was hoping for - and I have 23 days left. sooo hope I can do it. I am slowing down now - the last few days losses have only been .1 or .2 - but I am grateful its still a loss. I haven't added extra protein - mostly because I have been afraid to ADD anything off protocol....hmmm....maybe I should...
