Hi!
I've been reading all of the newcomer threads for a few weeks while I waited to see my naturopath. I am going in today to see about getting hcg injections from her. I'm super nervous!!! I don't know why I'm so nervous, but I am. I think I'm scared that I'll be starving or I'll pass out from lack of food or I'll feel pregnant or, or, or...lol! I'm sure I'll feel better after my apt. Anyway...I am 40 and a mom of 3, married to my super awesome husband for almost 18 years. I am 5'3.5" and I weight about 160 (I'll see for sure at my apt today). I'd like to lose 35 pounds at the very most. My biggest problem is sugar and candy. I have a HUGE sweet tooth. I'm hoping doing Hcg will be a good way for me to get off the sugar. Let's see...I love to be creative and hang with my family. I live in Phoenix, AZ. Nice to meet you! How do you all like the hcg method compared to their methods? Anyone else as nervous when they got started? ![]() Melissa |

Welcome and good luck! It's great you've been reading the posts. So you know the most important thing is to follow the original protocol by Dr S. Lots of dr's fool with the diet and put their own spin on it but the original is the one and only.
I've just finished reading Diet Apocalypse (there's a thread about it called Book Club here) - it is excellent in pointing out how damaging cheating is on the protocol. If you have a sweet tooth, and worry about sticking to the plan, I really recommend this book!! I was nervous before my first round as well. But this is more than a diet, it's a great way to re learn how to eat! For now and later. |

Lots of dr's fool with the diet and put their own spin on it but the original is the one and only. My husband is freaked out about me doing this. We had a friend who had a really bad reaction while doing hcg With the drops. But, it wasn't the hcg that made him sick. Still, dh puts the two together. Hopefully he'll feel better about it once he wraps his mind around it. |
