This is an extremely restrictive diet that works as long as you strictly adhere to this protocol. Cheating is simply not an option. Food is nothing more than fuel, and the quicker you start to see it that way the better your chances are of keeping the weight off. It is primarily a mental battle. Decide whether your health is important enough to make sacrifices. If it is, then carry on wending your way down the path towards skinny.
Things You Will Need: - Water bottle (BPA free is always nice, having measurements on the side is wonderful) - 500ml lock-top storage containers - Non-stick cooking device (e.g. George Foreman Grill) - Measuring tape - Bathroom scale - Kitchen food scale - Wall Calendar - Pounds & Inches if you have any questions about the protocol (http://hcgdietinfo.com/Dr-ATW-Simeon...and-Inches.htm). Important to Do Through Entire Program: - Walk each day for a minimum of 30 minutes. 1 hour would be better as long as you can safely do so. - Drink half your weight in ounces per day in water. There are few things I can emphasize more than this step. - Record measurements (neck, chest, upper abdomen, lower abdomen, hips, thighs, calf, upper arm) each week and track them on your calendar. - Have regular check-ups with your family doctor and request that they do blood tests (liver, kidneys, cholesterol). - Get someone else to prepare meals if possible. Have them cook it when you are not at home, especially if it has an odour that lingers, or it is one of your favourites. It is nice to completely disconnect from food for awhile. If this is not possible, see if you can prepare a large quantity of food in advance, package it and freeze it. That way the others in your household can just re-heat their dinner, and it keeps the smells to a minimum. - Eat dinner no later than 3 hours before you go to bed. - Each day: wake up, use the washroom, weigh yourself and track your weight on your calendar. ![]() PHASE 1 - Check all of your toiletries (make-up, lotion, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner and deodorant) for oil and employ any possible alternatives to ensure that you are not applying any oil to your skin. I started using crystal deodourant for the diet and will never go back. - Cut out white flour and sugary foods and drinks right now. Eat clean. - Acquire your hCG and put it in a paper bag, and store it in the door of the fridge. - Get as many unapproved foods out of your world as possible. Warn people that if they test you, they will likely be eaten in 100 gram portions. - Find other things to do than eat. Focus on family, hobbies or anything else to keep your distracted for how integral food currently is in your life. - Near the start of phase 2 stock up on good quality meat products, trim the fat, cut them up into exactly 100 gram portions, while still raw and freeze them. They are likely to be akin to hockey pucks if you freeze them after they've been cooked. - Lower any stresses that you have control over. Make time for yourself. You are important. - Set reasonable mini-goals for yourself to break up your weight loss into smaller chunks. Prepare and picture yourself as a smaller you. Have a non-food reward in mind (e.g. buying new wardrobe since you won't fit in your old clothes, resizing your jewellery, get a tattoo, go on a trip) for when you achieve your ultimate goal. - Start talking to all of your supports and ensure that they understand what you need from them through this very trying period. Picture any difficulties that might come to fruition and address them now. Things will still crop up, since life tends to get in the way of our plans, but this step will help to set you up for success. - If you're of an estrogen bent: Plan to start your drops phase right after your next menses. If this is impossible, then please have at least 10 days in hand before the start of your next period. ![]() PHASE 2 (Loading - 2 days) - Take hCG via the application method you have chosen. - Eat high fat foods, but not necessarily high sugar foods, often but not until you are overfull. - What starts as excitement soon turns to horror as you realize the difference between wanting to eat all the naughty foods that you can, and actually doing it. Within a short period of time you will realize that this is a very difficult thing to do. - Eat well, since failing to properly load will result in significant distress in the next part of the diet. - Expect a significant weight gain during this period, which might be as much as 10 pounds. Some gain nothing during loading, and others actually lose, our bodies are strange and wonderful machines. Worry not, the weight comes off very quickly in next part of this phase. PHASE 2 (Low Calorie Diet with Drops - 38 days) - Take hCG via the application method you have chosen. - Some continue their hCG through their menses, while others stop. If I had advice it would be that if you are stopping your drops I would resume them after 3 days no matter if your menses continues or not. Expect the water retention during this period to play absolute havoc with your weight loss. - Continue to take any medications you must take throughout. - Avoid very hot showers or baths, since they can make you feel so light headed that you might faint. - If you feel something akin to sickness it might be attributed to detoxing. - Expect to be low energy, constipated, have tummy grumbles, cold, euphoria, crabby and have other side effects while your body questions your motives. - Hunger is normal at the start as long as it is not a ravenous hunger, which would suggest that your dosage needs to be adjusted. Counter intuitively the first step is to adjust your dosage down, rather than up. Give it a couple days before considering adjustments, unless you're eying your terrier as a snack. - Expect plateaus (no weight loss) of up to 4-6 days throughout the program. - You will likely go into ketosis in this process, which can come with funky breath. Though gum is off protocol, if it is a dire need, then chew it for as short a time as possible. Acquire sugarless gum from your local health store. I used Spry Gum. - No massage is permitted during this phase. - Avoid anything containing oil (toiletries, food preparation, et cetera). - Expect that taking daily weights will lead to frustration on days where your losses are minimal or nonexistent. Remember that water weighs more than fat, so just because the scale does not tell a story of loss, does not mean that you have not lost inches. - Pay attention to your dysfunctional relationship with food. This is the time to examine it and make health-focused changes. Food is fuel. PHASE 2 (Low Calorie Diet without drops - 72 hours) - You no longer take your hCG through the rest of this round. - Ensure that you have taken an accurate reading of your weight the day of the last time you took your hCG. - On average women lose 0.5 pounds per day, while men are around double that. - 34.0 pounds is the maximum that can be lost in a single round unless you are "grossly obese" (unsure what BMI that would be), which permits you an additional 5-6 pounds to be lost. - Weight lost during this period is disregarded since it provides you with a bit of a buffer before you enter into the next phase. ![]() PHASE 3 (Stabilization - 21 days) - This is the most important phase, since an error here can nullify any weight you have lost to this point. - Oil is no longer a worry. Feel free to resume using your oil-based cosmetics, toiletries, cooking sprays, butter, olive oil, et cetera. - Massage is not only permitted, but welcome. - You will initially look forward to this phase as getting a chance to explore different food options, but the closer you get the more fearful you will likely get by the lack of direction. This is normal. - For this period you must keep starch and sugar out of your diet. - Regular bowel movements are likely to return at the start of this phase. Your mileage may vary, but when it does return you will realize how important it is to be regular in this area, since it's disconcerting when it's out of whackl - It is normal for hunger to come back very slowly. - Slowly reintegrate foods at a pace that permits you to see anything that causes amplified gains. - Ensure you are getting sufficient amounts of protein. - Maintain your weight within +/-2.0 pounds of your recorded weight from the last day that you took your drops. If it goes outside of that range then you must immediately act to bring it back into the buffer range: * If your weight drops too low then eat more, especially vegetables. * If it goes too high you must eat nothing all day and then in the evening eat a huge steak with only a raw tomato or apple. ![]() PHASE 4 (End of Round - 21 days) - Slowly reincorporate starch and sugar in your diet while carefully watching your weight to track sensitivities that cause your weight to increase disproportionately to what you have eaten. - Do not gain more than 2 pounds from the weight you were from the point of your last drops. Act as you did previously if your weight shoots up utilizing the steak day mechanism. - Depending on how many full rounds you have done, the waiting period before you can start your injection phase is different: * Round 1: 6 week break (3 weeks of P3 and 3 weeks of P4) * Round 2 : 8 week break (3 weeks of P3 and 5 weeks of P4) * Round 3: 12 week break (3 weeks of P3 and 9 weeks of P4) * Round 4: 20 week break (3 weeks of P3 and 17 weeks of P4) |

Are you calling us all idiots? Lol Thanks for the post. I would say for everyone on here no matter where you are at if you are having a problem, stalled, or can't figure out what you are doing...read above. Go back to square one and double and triple check everything. Even if you are sure you are doing everything right! It's amazing how we can think we are following protocol exactly and be off just a pinch...and there goes an inch!!
