Hi - I am in P2D16 - hhcg drops. Doing great - 14lb. loss. My drops do have homeopathic hcg in them. I purchased the ketone strips - because when I bought the drops, I thought they had rx hcg and had read somewhere that you were doing ok if you were burning fat - and to check for ketosis. I am on the high end (color very dark on strip) and I was just wondering if it is safe to stay that way for the whole time?
thanks! |

The strips aren't entirely accurate; some people are in ketosis and ketones will never register on the strips. And the darkness makes no difference in the amount of fat that you are burning - they are just evidence that you are burning fat.
There isn't a whole lot of info about ketosis on this site or in P&I. Try googling it; here is a start. http://www.foodrenegade.com/how-to-b...etosis-primer/ |

I will admit to using the strips; I wanted to make sure that I did go into ketosis. And then I will use them after I do something a bit rogu-ish, like cottage cheese (with all the milk sugars). I am almost always moderate, although tonight I was very high on the scale (I checked after noticing your reply).
But for example, Grammy has said she has never registered, and she has lost 78 pounds and been stable for over 2 years, so she obviously was burning fat. And she said (and I agree) that they can make dieters anxious, and lord knows we don't need much else to worry about on this diet! |
