According to protocol you can do up to 40 injections in a round:
- 2 loading days with injections
- 4 days of VLCD with injections
- 1 skip day
- 6 days of VLCD with injections
- 1 skip day
- 6 days of VLCD with injections
- 1 skip day
- 6 days of VLCD with injections
- 1 skip day
- 6 days of VLCD with injections
- 1 skip day
- 6 days of VLCD with injections
- 1 skip day
- 4 days of VLCD with injections
- 2 days of VLCD without injections *

Total days: 48

Pounds & Inches:
"When a patient has more than 15 pounds to lose the treatment takes longer but the maximum we give in a single course is 40 injections, nor do we as a rule allow patients to lose more than 34 lbs. (15 Kg.) at a time. The treatment is stopped when either 34 lbs. have been lost or 40 injections have been given. The only exception we make is in the case of grotesquely obese patients who may be allowed to lose an additional 5-6 lbs. if this occurs before the 40 injections are up."

* Some will argue that there is not 2 days at the end of the round to equal the 72 hours, which is technically true. If you take your injection on the morning of the 46th day then you will have finished your 72 hours on the morning two days later, which is why I say 2 days and not 3.

Yes I did misspell "round" as "roud" to lure people in to correct me

Yep, and not forgetting the fact that Dr. S also instructed women to also not inject while on TOM. So this would make a round over 50 days.

Except that most women DO inject on TOM. Back in Dr S's day it was thought women produced hcg on their period. But if a woman chooses to skip, that could extend the round a few days. It gets problematic though sometimes. I talked to a gal recently who had been off hcg for TEN DAYS. That's how long her period was. That can totally derail you. Even if a woman wants to skip for TOM, I'd restart the hcg after 3 days if it wasn't gone.

Makes me wonder why so many do such short rounds. 42-43 day long rounds seem to be the norm.

In all my 4 rounds I never skipped during Tom. I was just stating per what dr. S said in the original protocol, along with skipping 1 injection a week makes for an uber looooong round.

Right. It sure does. I love those long rounds though. I'm usually stable as a rock.
