Hi Everyone:
Has anyone had an issue with heavy metals being released in you body? I notice my finger tips go completely numb sometimes on this diet and a friend of mine who has dealt with a lot of mercury and lead in her body said that when she did this diet the lead really started to move around and her arms ACHED. I know heavy metal is stored in fat, so it makes sense that as those fat cells are emptied and disassembled the lead or other metal starts moving around in your system which I think can cause pain or numbness. Does anyone have experience with this or with removing heavy metals from your body? I know it is a slow process. : ( |

I'll let you know what I find out. I'm going to ask the nurse practitioner I go to. My husband sees a doctor who specializes in removing heavy metals. I wonder if it's another reason we are overweight: the liver can only deal with so much in a 24hr period and if we have toxic metals in our body, eat extra fat and drink alcohol the liver maybe so taxed the "extra" goes directly to stored fat?!?! I have no idea, it's just a guess. But I'll post what the professionals tell me.

Hiroko-I am a newbie with Hcg but I am familiar with heavy metal issues as I have a child with special needs......the safest method for removing toxics and heavy metals would be a far infared sauna....at least that's what I've learned in 7 years.....I am using transdermal cream hcg so I can't compare to other forms of hcg.

I've been wondering about that too, and since we don't have a far infrared sauna near us I did a little search on the net and found this page that lists natural ways to rid the body of heavy metals: http://www.naturalnews.com/026885_ze..._cilantro.html The top thing they list is Bentonite Clay, which I know is used in specialty soaps but I never heard of anyone ingesting it...I'm not so sure about that.
Another site says "Glutathione (GSH): After hearing many testimonials and reading several articles, it is clear that having a deficiency of glutathione is a precursor for one’s inability to effectively excrete mercury, aluminum, and pesticides from the body. GSH is an antioxidant, immune booster and detoxifier. Without it, your cells would disintegrate from unrestrained oxidation, your body would have little resistance to bacteria, viruses and cancer and your liver would literally shrivel up from eventual accumulation of toxins." I looked it up and this is a supplement I had never heard of and costs between $10-20. The article goes on to say that you can get this through lots of different foods, but since we are so limited on HCG, it's worth looking in to. Here's that page: http://www.whale.to/v/cassel.html |

Hiroko:
I find your post very interesting. I started the HCG diet, and almost immediately started noticing numbness in my fingers. I have been diagnosed before, as having high mercury readings, even though all of my mercury fillings have been removed. In addition, I have idiopathic Peripheral Neuropathy.. What is your current status with numbness? Has it changed since your last post? Thank you. |

I also had all of my fillings removed and know a great deal about heavy metal toxicity. You can get heavy metals from so many places. One of the ways our bodies protect us from the toxins is to wrap fat cells around the toxins. So as we release the fat cells from hcg the toxins are released. A far infrared sauna is an excellent way to release these, but there are many others also. There are ionic foot baths, supplements, homeopathics, and patches. I have been using a cleanse and detox patch with hcg that works extremely well. It helps to rid the body of toxins as well as help the lymphatic system to flow better and not be clogged up. Our lymphatic systems are moved around with gravity and if they are all clogged they don't get things moved. This is actually a way our body moves and removes things. We have about 52 pints of lymphatic fluid. Compare that to how much blood? It's a lot! I agree that Glutathione is important. I actually worked with a Doc and he gave people who were very sick Glutathione IV's. I haven't used it yet personally but there is a glutathione patch. My dad used it because it also helps scar tissue. He had a big cheloid scar on his chest that was big and bothered him. He wore the patch about 3 months and the scar disappeared, so I know it works.
Whatever method you choose detoxing before, during, and after the hcg diet in my opinion is not a choice it is very necessary. |
