Motivation for All!
I am a documentary junkie. Anything on Discovery, National Geographic, History Channel, etc. Netflix has a documentary right now titled "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead" and it is a MUST SEE for anyone wishing to improve their health and lose weight. The documentary stresses the importance of getting nutrients from fruits and veggies and cutting out the crap. While they do not use HCG and do a juice fast instead, the underlying principles are the same. These two men featured in this film can motivate ANYONE to change their eating habits. I really found it making me want to just dump all of the crap out of my pantry right now for good. It made the HCG diet look like a piece of cake and made me feel like I can do this!!! If anyone is struggling, or just looking for some extra motivation, PLEASE watch this!

Oooh, I love documentaries! Thanks for the notice BombshellBee - I'll be watching this tonight!

I've seen it. It's motivating to me. I find it amazing how we as a society care more what gasoline and oil we put into our cars, and we put poison into our own bodies. You can replace a car but you only have one body.
|
Well said! I also feel like there are many people who simply don't know what they're putting into their bodies either. Nutrition education is not something that is really discussed in depths. If only more people knew what kind of toxins were in the cereal, chips, and burgers they were eating. Even the "healthy" options are loaded with preservatives and such. I heard once about an experiment where some people left various fast food items out in the open for a month and compared the way they looked on the first and last days of the experiment. There was little to no change. Now, that can NOT be healthy to put in your body.

My dad called me one day to tell me about a documentary on Netflix. This was a few weeks ago before I started HCG. Its called "The Secret". It is not about changing the physical appearance of one self but the mental appearance. I believe both physical and mental appearance play hand in hand. This doc helped me push myself forward to make both changes in my life. This doc is more of a scientific realm of belief and its kinda out there but worth watching all the way thru. I have watched it several times and get something out of it each time.
BTW..."Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead" is a great show too!!! |
Renny: A big shout out to your DAD! Awesome looking out for his girl!
Go change your future, starting now! |
Thanks Renney! I will be checking that out later on today! Hopefully Netflix still has it!

Well, I finally got to watch this documentary, and I have to say that EVERYONE should watch it. I actually cried at Phil's story - when he said that people think he's angry all of the time, when he's really just in pain.
This also made me want to get a webcam and do a video blog of my journey - anyone else doing that? It must be a fantastic thing to look back at your journey and see how far you've come. Surely it is motivating! It will probably just be for me to watch - an opportunity to release some emotions I've had for soooo long surrounding my weight. When I cried for Phil, it almost felt like crying for myself - I could relate to his feelings. Anyway, highly recommend this documentary. |
I know... I felt soooo sad for Phil. When they played hos phone call asking for help. Gah. Such a great ending though!
