Default Sugarless Gum & Hot Tea
My wife asked me to post these two questions:

1. Is sugarless gum permitted?
In the printed version of the protocol we received with our drops it said, "yes." She fears this may not be correct.

2. What types of tea are acceptable?
Specifically, she is concerned about raspberry-flavored tea.

3. Is Smooth Move (laxative) tea allowed?
I believe I read somewhere here that it is not, but would like verification.

Thanks.

Hi,

Most sugarless gums have sweeteners in them that are not on protocol. That being said, there are a few brands out there that I've heard of people using with no problem. One I can think of is called "spry" and you can get it at health food stores. Hopefully some vets will chime on here with other ideas.

As far as I know, all tea should be fine, as long as there are no sugars, starches, etc in them (you wouldn't want to have a pre-mixed and sugary chai). I always make a big batch of iced tea in the morning and drink it all day- sometimes I use caffeinated and sometimes herbal tea like the raspberry one you mention.

I see lots of people talk about using Smooth Move tea. I have some in my cupboard but haven't broken it out yet. :-)

Have a great day!
